Designing Your Bar's Layout

When designing the interior of your bar business, there are two things that should be taken care of: bar furniture and the layout.

To Get That Perfect Layout...

Simply Follow These Steps...

Here are steps on how to create the perfect layout for your establishment:

1. Plan carefully. Sketch the floor plan in detail. It is even a better idea to enlist the help of a professional interior designer. But if you want your personal touch on the design and interior of the bar, go for it. Just be ready to accept constructive criticisms from people around you and make the necessary adjustments should there be a need for any.

2. Choose the layout that will complement the design and theme of the bar. For example, bars with contemporary style, go for clean, minimalist lines and layout.

3. Go for contrast. Choose shapes that will give your bar a nice contrasting look. Ovular shapes bar stools for example will look nicely on a rigidly straight counter.

4. Create a smooth flow of traffic. This can be done by arranging the bar chairs, tables and furniture in such a way that will provide a spacious walkway where both the customers and the staff of the bar can move around with ease.

5. Put ample spaces in between the chairs and tables. Allow for an 18 inch of space between chairs. Bar stools should be at least 12 inches away from the counter and 30 inches away from each other (that is measuring from the center point of the stool to another).

Since we all know that the physical appearance of your bar is contributory to its success (no customer in his right mind would enter a bar that screams shabby), it's crucial to choose the right furniture and to do the right layout.
