Fascinating Fiction, Awesome Art
Barbara is a Canadian author of several illustrated novels whose style is similar to Nick Bantock (author of the Griffin and Sabine series). Her books are published by Raintree Press.
The pages are full of fascinating travel ephemera which alone can hold your attention, but the text is more than compelling enough to stand on its own.
If you enjoy stories set in exotic locations and which hold more than a tinge of mystery and the arcane, you'll like these novels!

I'm a big fan of Barbara Hodgson's work, also Nick Bantock's. Thought I had read them all, but I've missed a few. I am a book designer too and can only dream of doing projects as artful (and expensive to produce!). Posted April 22, 2008 |
