BBQ sauce traditionally is used as a flavoring for pork, beef ribs and chicken. The southern US has many well know barbecue sauce producers. The first commercially produced barbecue sauce was produced in Atlanta, Georgia in 1909. 100 years later Atlanta is still a hub for great tasting BBQ Sauces with companies like Fox Bros. BBQ.

The basic ingredients to create bbq sauces are vinegar, pepper, mustard, light tomato and heavy tomato. The ingredients will range depending on where the sauce is produced.
