Barbie Australia
Ranked #3,123 in Travel & Places, #99,393 overall
Did Barbie ever come to Australia? Her real name is Barbara Millicent Roberts perhaps you saw her.
I hope you enjoy and remember this is a lens made by an Australian so look out for our weird sense of humour.
Barbie is big in Sydney
And yummy too
In 2009 Barbie had a birthday in Sydney, she's looking good for 50!
I found this article at I found this article on http://www.eatmedaily.com/2009/03/life-size-barbie-doll-cake/
"To celebrate Barbie's 50th birthday, in Sydney, Australia, Mattel unveiled a nearly seven-foot tall "Barbie doll" chocolate mud cake. The 2,645 lb cake was covered in gold icing, gold silk, and 2,000 Swarovski crystals valued at $50,000, and was based on the design for the limited edition 50th Anniversary Barbie Doll.
The cake was designed by Australian fashion designer Alex Perry, jewelery designer Stefano Canturi, and hairdresser Joh Bailey, in collaboration with Sweet Art bakers."
I have reason to believe that Barbie was in Sydney a couple of years ago to show off her Sydney Opera House - fashion creation. You can still get this wonderful Opera Barbie from Amazon.
Yummy Mummy?
Did Barbie ever get married?
Did Barbie marry Ken, did they have kids? Barbie has a lot of wedding dresses but did she make the vow. I looked it up on Wiki and it says they never did. They had a break up and then got back together but that is about it. Perhaps it is not politically correct for Barbie to get married? If Barbie however is to be about letting girls imagine and grow into their future what message is that sending? I think Barbie should get married, perhaps it's not her fault, maybe we should be looking at Ken. Anyway it got me thinking that perhaps they could release a new doll for 2012, one that is fitting for the new age we are in - the age of extreme political correctness.Politically correct Barbie - coming in 2012. What attributes should our modern day, politically correct Barbie have. I will let you be the guide please put your ideas in the comment area below. Remember this is a G rated lens.

All Aussies love a good Barbie
Barbies and Barbecuing is an art form in Australia and we love to have salads with our Barbie in summer and often have BBQ veggies in winter. Yep we Barbie in Winter too.
Getting back to the other Barbie so far I can find three Australian Barbies. One is the Barbie at the top sporting the Koala (Drop Bear), 2 is the Sydney Opera House theme Barbie ( her dress reminds me of Jennie Little) and finally the 1993 Aussie Barbie who is supposedly dressed as a Jillaroo. I have met quite a few ladies who work on Sheep and Cattle Stations and not one was dressed like that lol.
