There are a lot of people who head out on the weekends looking for old, vintage items that can be resold on eBay for a profit. One of their favorite things to look for is old dolls.

The type of doll they are looking for may vary, but in general, they are looking for something old. One of the most famous collectible dolls going of course is Barbie. Pretty much anyone who scours garage sales and estate sales for merchandise knows that they should be looking for authentic old Barbie dolls. Of course finding a mint doll from 1959 is the ultimate find, but there are several other things you should keep your eyes open for too.

Probably the easiest old Barbie related merchandise to turn around for a profit is also the most ignored. Old Barbie accessories and clothing sell like crazy on eBay and yet people give them away at sales for very low prices. You can often buy a box full of them for ten or fifteen dollars and leave the seller feeling happy that he or she made such a nice profit on the deal. If you play your cards right though, you could turn those old clothes into a lot more than what you spent!

Even if you specialize in collecting a certain type of doll, you should keep your eyes open for clothing and accessories at all times. The profit potential is very good and if you know a collector personally, they would probably be thrilled with your find.

Finding old original clothing for porcelain dolls or almost any vintage baby dolls has the potential to be profitable. Keep on the lookout for these as they are sometimes thrown in with box fulls of more modern accessories and clothing. Finding just one nice box full can make looking well worth the time.
