Barefoot Books - Celebrate Art and Story
As two working mothers, Nancy Traversy and Tessa Strickland have combined growing their business with raising seven children, juggling all kinds of demands in the process! From the initial manuscript stage, to the selection of artists and the design and production of the books, their children always have a lot to say. They have grown up with illustrators arriving for breakfast and couriers calling at midnight, and in a home environment where they are surrounded by literature, creativity and a busy energetic working atmosphere. With the enthusiastic support of their families, their teams in the USA and UK, and their customers, Barefoot Books has earned a reputation for publishing some of the finest picture books in the world.
