Let me introduce you to a modern day barefoot doctor. A man who captured my imagination with his down to earth and humorous writings on the subject of life, love and the TAO.
In ancient China, a Barefoot Doctor was known as a healer, not only of the body but also the mind. As the name suggests they travelled barefoot and were skilled in the ways of Taoism, acupuncture, herbalism, a form of psychotherapy or counselling and the martial arts.
Now amongst us is a modern day teacher of this ancient philosophy and esoteric teachings.
I hope to keep you posted on the Barefoot Doctors teachings and antics in the near future and I'm sure you'll come to love his zany ways as much as I.
His philosophy on manifestation and introduction to the Taoist way was around long before 'The Secret' and all the hype on Law of Attraction. So hear it from the horse's mouth.
Are you a barefootdoctor follower or have anything to share with myself and others on this subject? - If so, please fill out the guestbook below and I'll put you on my page (as long as it is not offensive)
MONDAY SPECIAL - Dance Of The Tao[2007-06-25 05:16:00]
It gets clearer and clearer, the further along the path you go, that the journey itself is the destination, or that there is no real destination, for whatever goals you manage to manifest, as if your life had depended on it, you fairly soon, if not instantly, start chasing a new set of goals.
There is, however, incontrovertible benefit in having goals.
Though the first goal should probably be that you learn to fully enjoy the travelling towards your goals and allow that enjoyment to be your main source of succour, rather than pinning your hopes on the achievement of your other goals to provide that for you.
Perhaps the second could be that you exist in a state of constantly-on loving: loving yourself, loving others, loving what's going on, loving what isn't going on and generally loving being here, simply for being here, no matter what you do or don't achieve, because there's no other lubricant for the mechanics of reality as powerful as love.
And possibly the third one could be that you always express yourself, as a vessel of love, creatively, authentically and fully, no matter what.
Beyond that, the real benefit of having goals is to lend your life a sense of direction and meaning, without which it is generally much harder to maintain a positive spirit, in respect of getting out of bed in the morning, in the face of so much apparent opposition arising from meaningless and potential chaos occurring in the world around you.
It also serves to provide you with some divinely sublime moments of satisfaction and wonder, watching something that came to you as a mere idea suddenly, in the fullness of time, mysteriously becoming an actuality. It can bring tears of joy to your eyes, in fact, to bear witness to that mysterious invisible movement of life bringing to fruition what you've wanted for a while with all your heart.
But it's the process of manifesting that's the miracle and potentially epiphanic rather than the manifestation itself, for it's there you can spot the Tao doing its dance.
For one of the slickest tools in the trade for honing your manifesting skills, check out today's BAREFOOT JOURNAL but for now, in honour of the dance of the Tao, take a moment or more to examine your current set of goals. Spend a while purifying them of aspects that might not serve you well and refining them so they are fully honed on what is most likely to facilitate your perfect flourishing.
When you've done, write your goals down.
When you've written them down, also write down at least six times by way of autosuggestion, 'I am now choosing to manifest all these goals or even better ones I haven't yet thought of, easily, effortlessly, enjoyably, swiftly and miraculously.'
This will help you feel focused and in command.
Now let go and surrender to enjoying being here now at the start of the next phase of your journey and give thanks for the forward momentum in your life.
Miracles will start happening almost instantly.
May your Monday be replete with so many miracles you don't know where to put them all.
Love, Doc

Let the good things come to you
MONDAY SPECIAL - Exponential Increase Of Good Things Coming To You[2007-09-24 05:22:00]
If you knew without doubt this lifetime was a game, in which the object was to let go as much as you could and the more you managed to let go, the more good things would come your way, you'd do all you could to increase your letting go abilities, without question.
If you also knew without doubt, that no matter how powerful external reality appears to be, you are creating your own reality according to the internal movie you have running about reality in your forebrain, enabling you to create reality as a game, in which the object was to let go as much as you could and the more you managed to let go, the more good things would come your way, that's what it would be and you could stop questioning it and start playing to win.
The big question is what does it mean to let go and how do you do it?
Letting go means desisting from holding reality fixed in a limited position on account of habitually subscribing to reality-limiting beliefs: beliefs like, reality is there to trick me, reality is there to give me a hard time, reality is there to taunt me by presenting me with countless examples of others not being tricked or given a hard time and so on.
These habitually reinforced reality-limiting beliefs are stored as memories in muscles and soft tissue of your body, especially around the solar plexus region.
By going at it from the physical, you, in turn, affect the psycho-emotional level too.
By training your autonomic mind to actively engage in constantly checking for tension and releasing it from the solar plexus, you gradually notice yourself becoming more accepting of the moment, less eager to escape into fantasy or fear about the future, less inclined to dwell on the past and more open to taking healthy chances. You gradually find yourself feeling more secure within your skin, therefore, by extension, more secure in the external world, regardless of material circumstances. You by and by find yourself trusting the innate benevolence of existence, rather than succumbing to fearful thoughts about it.
And it all comes down to progressively relaxing the solar plexus, an effective method for which is explained in today's BAREFOOT JOURNAL, for which you'll need to be or become a member.
Meanwhile, be blessed by a sudden, rapid, exponential increase of letting go levels, that brings you a sudden, rapid, exponential increase of good things coming to you.
