Dogs
Ok, dogs are one of the most popular pets. In my opimiom, they are better than cats. They have personalitys. They come in many shapes and sizes. They are easy to fall in love with and help out in many ways. Dogs are used as protection, seeing eye dogs, search and rescue, and companions.
Care for a dog
First things first, your dog needs a collar. Why? If they run away, somebody finds them, and don't know if they are a stray. If they had a collar they can get home faster than you risking some person claming your dog. Your dog must get shots. Everyone had to get shots before you started school. Dogs need shots too. Get your dog vaccinated for rabies. Keep our dog on a leash when off property. Your dog could run out in the road and get hit or cause an accident. Your dog needs a good shelter. We live in houses. Dogs need a house too. Small dogs can live inside with you. But the bigs ones normally stay outside. Give your dog a foof to live under. A simple doghouse will do. Or a tarp attached to some trees. Chosing a dog
Remember, dogs take up time. If ou have no time at all choose a dog that takes up little time. Also size. Small dogs are fragile. Don't get a small dog if you have toddlers, babies, etc. If you do have toddlers and etc then get a meduim sized dog. They are small but not too small. Big dogs are good too. But they might frighten or scare people. If you are looking a for a gaurd do, big dogs work best. Dog agility
Dog agility is a sport where the dog goes through an obsticle course. Any dog can particapate but some breeds are better than others. Your dog must have tons of energy. Your dog can't just stop randomly. You have to finish in a certain amount of time. Your dog needs alot of energy to finish the course. Your dog must have a good attention span. Your dog has to listen to you giving orders. Not the crowd screaming. A good attention span makes it easier for the dog to complete the course. Athleticness, your dog can't be a couch potatoe to compete in agility. Your dog must be fit. Or he/she will never make it over the first jump. Dog Breed: Chihuahua
Chi
The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog. It is named after a city in mexico. It weights around 2-12 pounds. And stand around 6-9 inches (15-23 cm.) They can be short-haired or long haired. They are in the toy group. They don't need much grooming. But the long-haired ones do need just a little bit more. Try not to get water in their ears. It can cause infection. They shiver alot because they are cold. So on cold days supply them with a sweater. Dog Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Corgi
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi can stand from 10 to 12 inches tall. And can weigh no more than 30lb. They can live up to 15yrs. They are intelligent and great escape artists. Their colors are Tri Colors,reds and oranges. They are known as angle-biters so e careful.
