Having sold upwards of eighty million records, and with a career that has spanned nearly four decades, Barry Manilow is very much an entertainment icon. Before he started to wow audiences with his suave signing voice, he started off as a jingle writer, in fact he penned songs for such brands as State Farm and Band Aid. Today he is renowned for being one of highest ranked adult contemporary music artists of all time.

Barry Manilow's career began when he was only seven years old, it was at this age that he first developed the skills to play the piano as well as the accordion. During his teenage years he attended the Julliard School of Music and then later on the New York College of Music.

His forays into the entertainment industry really began in 1971 when he joined forces with Bette Midler. His role was to direct and arrange her performances as well as providing accompaniment on the piano.

It was not until 1975 that he broke through on his own. His number one hit record "Mandy" allowed him to reach out to an audience that had not yet discovered his powerful voice. From 1975 until 1983, he had twenty five consecutive hit records, these included "Looks like we made it", "I write the songs", and "It's a miracle". In total, he has been involved with more than forty acclaimed albums, though not always as a singer.

His last release was in 2010, and entitled "The greatest love songs of all time", the tracks on this album reinforced his position as one of the world's best crooners. Today he is still performing to packed theater halls and arenas, his shows positively answer the question posed in one of his best loved compositions, "Could it be magic?". There are very few artists today that are as loved and admired as Barry Manilow.

He breaks down the music scene by scene and that is what has made him so personable and everyone loves his music. He says that he finds the truth in every song and sings it as sincerely as possible.
