Basically Absurd the Adventures of Me!!

I'm sure, as a writer, I should have something clever to say here... I don't know that I'm really all that clever though. Sometimes people think I am because I see the world from an odd angle. I, of course, don't make an effort to disillusion them.

Why spoil my persona with reality?

My Fiction~ I write soft fantasy for the most part. I like to drag my readers through raw emotional turmoil, or make the reader think and leave them wondering.

I'm currently working on a script for a story that has been nagging the back of mind forever. 

My Non-fiction~ I'd like to develop a regular market for recipes that would be a dream job. Putzing around in the kitchen all day woo-hoo! If anybody who happen across this little lens and knows how to do that, drop me a line.

My Art and My T-shirts~ Now in-twined irreparably, I believe my artwork is an expression of my constant search for pattern and order.

I think it was third quarter anyway!

The story behind the story.

In early 2003 and I hadn't written anything in two years! I just didn't have the mental energy I guess.

Then a case of stomach flu collided with an ulcer. It was my cat who sat with me all day and most of the night. He sat with his head pressed against my face purring and purring. He wouldn't ordinarily do this, usually if I didn't keep petting he'd leave.

To take my mind off the pain, I started telling him a story. About a lone cat in search of a good ear scratching and warm lap.

That story became this piece of flash fiction. My first and only piece published fiction, also the first thing I ever submitted.
