The Yankees-Mariners 3-game series just concluded. All 3 games ended with the same score, 6-2. Question? Has this happened before? If so, when and how many times before. The Yankees won 2 of the 3 games this weekend.

Jane, why does the timeline stop in the mid nineties? This about all the milestones you are missing; like the single season home records broken and re-broken. All the all-time home runs leader Bonds breaking that record in recent years.

Nice Lens Jane, I love baseball, and wish I would have done a little better on some of these trivia questions.

adding 1 SquidLike for you now!

It is a little known fact that the last two players to achieve the distinction of hitting five base run hits on the opening day of the season were Billy Herman and Nellie Fox. Billy Herman was an NL player who achieved the feat in 1936 when he was playing for the Chicago Cubs. Whilst Nellie Fox achieved it in 1959 as a player for the Chicago White Sox in 1936. Incidentally, the Chicago White Sox also won the world series in that year. So it was a great year for Nellie, who also had the distinction of getting the MVP award.
