5 Simple Basement Bar Ideas

To get you one step closer to your basement bar dream, here are some basement bar ideas. When these ideas are put to good use, your basement could become your favorite part of the house.

Let's start with the basic with five common types of basement bar design.

1.) Straight Bar Design - as the name suggests, this is the simplest of all bar designs. It looks similar to a front desk that you can usually find in hotel lobbies. The difference between the two is its use and functionality. Like a typical bar that you might find in restaurants or nightclubs, on the bartender side of the bar, it has space for a working sink, a gutter area for mixing drinks and space for a mini cooler or a refrigerator.

2.) L-shaped Bar Design - this is the basement bar design that is in the shape of the letter L. There is no difference in the use and functionality of this design from the straight bar design. The big difference is in its design. Your guests can enjoy themselves in their conversations because typically, seats in the L-shaped design bar are closer to each other. Measurements depend on the size of your bar and it is important to maintain a level of symmetry.

3.) Kegger Bar Design - this bar is designed with two L-shaped bar designs joint together with a Straight bar design placed in between. When in birds-eye-view, the bar looks like one-third of a square was cut and used. This basement bar design accommodates a perfect space for the mini cooler or refrigerator and a beer keg

4.) Monster Bar Design - this is the biggest of the entire list of common bar designs. Think of it as a combination of the L-shaped and Kegger design but bigger. This huge bar can accommodate many seats, an enormous drinking area, all other basic bar features and many more. A Monster bar can also be designed to for the letter U.

5. Portable Bar Design - if you plan to bring the party wherever you go in your house, then this design might be the one for you. Most bar designs are bulky and too heavy to lug around. The portable bar design can easily be assembled or disassembled. This is probably the latest innovation in basement bar ideas.

Bar designs are not limited to these five alone. These are only basic basement bar ideas and you can always expand these ideas.
