Welcome to Basingstoke

Basingstoke is a large town in North Hampshire, in the South of England, about 50 miles South West of London. Basingstoke & Deane (the borough) has a population of 152,573 (2001 census) and has seen a rapid growth since the 1960's when this small market town was pinpointed as a London overspill.

The town is home to many large businesses and boasts a large shopping centre, redeveloped in the early 2000's. Leisure facilities have also been developed to cope with the growing population.
