Basketball Cupcake Decorating Instructions

What You'll Need to Make Basketball Cupcakes
Instructions are for one batch

24 Pre-baked and Cooled Cupcakes
One Batch Vanilla Frosting (or one can store-bought vanilla frosting
Red and Yellow Food Coloring
3 Tubes store-bought black Writing Icing

How to make the orange frosting
Start by adding one drop of red food coloring and two drops of yellow food coloring to your vanilla frosting.
Mix thouroughly.
If you want a deeper orange color, add another drop of red and another 2 drops of yellow until you are happy with the color.

Place the orange frosting in the fridge for about a half hour after mixing to let it thicken up a bit. (Mixing will thin the frosting and make it too soft)

Frost your cupcakes as usual using the orange frosting.

Use the writing frosting to draw the basketball lines on the cupcakes.
Start by making an x on top and then add two half circles as shown.

Voila! Your super cute, easy to make fast Basketball cupcake is done!
Repeat for each cupcake.

Bake and frost cupcakes as usual and then top them with a basketball cupcake ring.
