Bass Beginner Part 1 - Bass Guitar Tuning

As a bass beginner it can be difficult task to learn bass guitar tuning, If you have just got started and have no previous musical experience. If you have played another instrument before, especially the guitar it is something you will pick up much more quickly.

Having your bass guitar in tune is really important. A nicely tuned bass will also make your playing sound a lot better!

Bass Beginner Part 2 - Bass Fretboard

Mastering The Bass Guitar Notes

Now that your bass is in tune you next want to begin learning the bass fretboard. Without knowing the different bass guitar notes it is impossible to know what you are playing. Just spend sometime playing up and down the different strings and saying the note names out loud as you go. Do this a little bit each day and you will soon have the bass fretboard mastered.

Bass Beginner Part 3 - Bass Technique

Now that you have learnt bass guitar tuning and the bass fretboard the next step is bass technique. This video is going to show you how to properly use your right hand to strike the bass strings. It also gives you a good introduction to ¼ notes and 1/8th notes. If this sound complicated now, don't worry all will be explained in the video.
