I Love Animals, Especially Basset Hounds
Truly a human's best friend, along with many other breeds.
I love basset hounds.
A calm pet that enjoys and needs human companionship. Relative to its size, it's the heaviest boned dog of any breed. Its deep, rolling bark can be amusing. This is a serene and well-behaved dog, but if it's spoiled it can become stubborn. Its gentleness makes it great with children.Although basset hounds are a calm breed, male bassets can be very jealous of one another and will fight. We have two here at home that we have to keep in separate locations. We have rescued three basset hounds total. Our female Sally Mae was the first we brought home. She had been kicked, beat, shot at with a pellet gun. The vet got the pellets out and she is a big baby! We love her so very much. Then we received Buddy, he is our mischievous one, always in time out for bad things, and is very stubborn. Buddy loves to tear our garbage up, or forget to go outside to tinkle. He has the most wonderful personality and loves us, so he is a wee bit spoilt! Our third basset is named Cletus, he is the perfect little fellow. He loves everyone, except Buddy, and Buddy doesn't love him either. Cletus is the perfect pet,no accidents, no bad habits! Our other babies are Sugar, who is a dachshund/bloodhound, shown on her back! Bonnie is a Collie/Chow and her brother is Clyde also a Collie/Chow.
