Let me introduce you to Bathing In Luxury, my soap-making personality. I make bath, body and beauty products from quality ingredients. I personally test all of my products, all of which either I or my family and friends use on a daily basis (as of today July 18, I am using Yuzu - not yet released to the public). My products have not been tested on animals (except me!). All of my products are cruelty-free and downright pleasure-giving! All of my essential oils are therapeutic grade.
Until fairly recently, I was a hardcore cold process + essential oils + botanicals/no colorant-only soaper but my Mom has a different (and vocal) philosophy than mine and she has *persuaded* me (we all love to make our Moms happy) to make more fragrant and colorful soaps (she likes floral scents, patterns and extreme color in her life). I've given in a bit, except she still objects to botanicals in soap, saying "it's soap, not a cake, don't use poppy seeds," dillweed, etc. *SHRUG* Anyway, I now also incorporate high quality skin-safe fragrance oils in some of my soaps - please make sure any fragrance oil used on your skin is "skin-safe" as candle fragrances often are not this level of quality.
Each of the soaps offered contains glycerin, a natural by-product in the soap makng process. Although glycerin technically is an alcohol, it is a humectant (hygroscopic) - that is, it has the property of attracting moisture and keeping it close to the skin. Because of this premium property many commercial soaps remove the glycerin produced during the soap-making process, diverting it to more expensive cosmetics. I use only the best ingredients. My cold processed bars are made in small batches (usually 2.5 lb, 10 bar MAX) from food-grade unhydrogenated oils, organic where possible, and are cured for a minimum of 2 months. I tend to superfat my soaps with residual oil (usually olive oil or a butter), so also add organic vitamin E which aids against naturally occuring oxidation (rancidity) of the fatty acids in the residual oils. Imagine if you left your olive oil out exposed to the air - after a pretty short while, it wouldn't taste good. Finally, I hand cut and hand bevel the bars to create a nice finished look - however, because they are cut by hand, my soaps charmingly will vary from slice to slice and batch to batch.
Unlike a lot of commercially available "molded" soaps, my molded glycerin soaps contain ZERO detergents (no SLS, SLES, etc), ZERO other petrochemicals (no propylene glycol, for example) and also are clarified either with a sugar substitute (generally sorbitol, the stuff found in a lot of diabetic candy and derived from berries). The beauty of these soaps is they can be made into pretty shapes more easily and undergo zero fragrance change & require no cure time as the curing has already taken place. Where customized scent is chosen, I make the soaps to be very fragrant - perfect for setting out for guests or fragrancing your bathrooms - as I am a firm believer that indulging the nose is just as important as pampering the skin. Who among us has not perked up after smelling something wonderfully aromatic?

- I was looking around for information on best long lasting lipstick when I stumbled upon your lens. Personally I'd like to add that I think it's important for us fashion and beauty conscious individuals to keep up with the current trends as not to fall behind, being self aware of the best options available on the market is not easy, but as the saying goes, ?beauty is pain'.
