Choices in Bathroom Vanity Furniture
The bathroom vanity in a bath can be compared to a fireplace in a living room. When a living room contains a fireplace, it in most cases, becomes the focal point in the room. A vanity in a bathroom is usually the most visible, and sometimes the only, piece of furniture in a room which contains mostly functional items such as a toilet, bathtub, or shower.
The modern bathroom vanity can take many forms. It can be a traditional bathroom cabinet fitted with a solid top with a vessel sink, or it can be an antique bathroom vanity either created from a piece of genuine antique furniture, or a purchased replica.
Another recent trend is vessel sink stands that are wrought iron and often have intesesting shapes.
This lense offers some information about the different types and styles of bathroom vanity furniture to help the diy bathroom remodeler get a good overview of the many possible options available.
Bathroom Vanity Furniture-6 Shopping Tips
Bathroom vanity furniture has gained in popularity the last few years. For several decades in the past, the sink and countertop were paired with the other cabinetry in the bathroom. This made one bathroom much like the next. Today, homeowners want a more distinctive look that sets their bathroom apart from that of neighbors and friends. Pride of ownership. There has occured a major change in how homeowners today think about the bathroom, and it has become a more respectable member of the household, and often thought of as a place to relax and retreat.
Generally speaking, when purchasing a home, the bathroom is considered in importance second only to the kitchen and is expected to be stylish, up to date, and present a pleasant and appealing atmosphere.
With this swing in attitude, and more focus given to grooming, bathing and enjoying a bath with an invigorating jet shower, large soaking tub or whirlpool, adding a stylish piece of vanity furniture to set a distinctive tone is most appealing.
Bathroom vanity furniture is available to suit any style preference. Modern bathroom vanities are offered in glass and stainless version for a very contemporary look. Vintage pieces that bring warm memories of the past are also available and very popular. There are also Tuscan styles with a drop in vessel sink held in a wrought iron frame.
Browse the many options to see which style suits your own preferences.
Tips to consider:
1. What is your general style preference? Modern vanity furniture, country bathroom vanity, vintage bathroom vanity, or Tuscan bathroom vanities?
2. How spacious is your bathroom? Bathroom vanity furniture will make a better presentation if there is some free space surrounding it.
3. What are your storage needs? Think how you will cordinate your new vanity with other storage pieces in your bath.
4. Will the vanity you prefer offer the surface space needed for grooming?
5. Who uses this particular bathroom? Vanities that feature an above counter or vessel sink may be too high for the needs of small children.
6. Consider if you want a single or double sink bathroom vanity.
When you are remodeling a bathroom, your bathroom vanity furniture should be chosen first since it will set the tone for your bathroom decor, and needs to coordinate with other items, as well as meet the needs of all users.

- Renovating a bathroom is a job, but it is so rewarding when it is finished. Thankfully, it is one space in a house that doesn't need constant updating. A well done renovation will last many years, with just a little refreshing from time to time.

Bathroom Vanity furniture-6 Shopping Tips Part II
Some 2nd Thoughts To Help You Shop
When shopping for a bathroom vanity, shopping online can help you cover a lot of ground with much less effort.Aside from the general tips in my first article, there are some things to consider and be aware of that will make you much more prepated for this venture.
Vanities are offered in a variety of packages
Bathroom vanities are offered as standalone units. In other words, all you are getting is the vanity base and nothing else.
Usually the vanity will also include the top, but not always.
In some cases you are buying the vanity, the top, and the basin or basins are also included.
Some packages go so far as to provide you with the base vanity, the top, the basin or basins, and even the faucets.
It is important to read carefully and understand just how many of these elements you actually get for the price quoted, and if some elements are options, what the total will add up to in order to make a fair comparison among the many offers out there.
Also be sure you know whether the top is pre-drilled for faucets and just what type of drilling it is. If you have your heart set on a specific faucet, you want to make sure it will work with the vanity and top you are purchasing.
One other thing to look at is whether or not the vanity top has a backsplash. They come both with or without. You may want to do your own custom backsplash, so this is something that you will want to know.
