1 - Visual.
  To create an interesting quality visual feel to your project, the use of color is important. A solid color for the floor is usually a good start. You can add borders of a different color to the floor, or you can create a border by alternating different colors. This kind of visual treatment can create a more interesting floor.

2 - Using the same color of tile.
Creating a more interesting visual effect,when using the same color both for the floors and walls. Here is a trick,choose a different size. One size for the walls and one size for the floor. How about laying the wall tiles diagonally.

3 - Applying the Grout .
Grout used for sealing the finished surface,can be obtained in different colors. Use of these colors can be used to great effect. For example, if you are using white or plain tiles, use a different color grout for a contrasting effect. The use of sealers will protect and preserve grout colors. Apply sealers to grout lines in areas of heavy wear is likely to occur. Picture the contrasts of the wall and floor using different grout colors.

4 - The decorative finishing touch.
 If your favorite color is a pastel shade of blue , add a few pink decorative tiles,for example, to the walls or use textures, and borders to give it some visual interest. Use a break line or rows in the walls, where you can place some of the pink tiles placed diagonally. Try and think of which colors will appeal to you.

5 - Style and sense of mood.
That over used word 'cool' comes to mind. Or how about a contemporary look and style, with a modern feel. Here's a few ideas that may push your button. Imagine using light, bold colors with shapes. Or graphics against plain backgrounds. Contemporary style fixtures and fittings will further provide a modern-looking result.

6 - That romantic feeling.
Trying to achieve a romantic or Victorian look and feel? Then the of use floral tiles, in soft colors like pink, light green or blue with possibly a hand painted sink or even a wooden floor.

7 - How about a Mediterranean atmosphere.
 Mediterranean look and feel. Here the use of terra-cotta tiles mixed with Hand-painted or Mexican tiles for the floors. For the counter top, a mix a plain color perhaps, with hand-painted ones used as a contrast.

8 - Color .
The use of color in trying to achieve a good overall finish. Choice of color is important. Color is a powerful tool in getting the right mood and effect.
Warm,fun like colors such as peach or yellow. They give a nice, cozier feel and they go well with a more country looking decor.

9 - Patterns,Shapes and designs.
You can always have a little fun as you select the various styles, colors, patterns. Think what will create the right sort of atmosphere you want to have in that space,would a textured tile or different size be useful. A whole variety are now available and are the corner stone for any bathroom design.
 
10. - Materials and basic practicality.
Ceramic tiles are often used because of its durability, are none porous and resistant to water. They are also easy to clean,can be had with Slip-resistant surface for safety too. They come in a whole variety of shapes and sizes to suit you.
