Bat Removal Tips

No matter how small a bat is, since they are linked to vampires in movies, we get scared when we see one of them close to us. Whenever we see a bat we think that they will drink our blood, although this is not the case. In general, bats do not come close to humans or their houses. However, the ones which are used to live in cities, try to establish their homes near ours on some occasions to survive. As human beings we do not like any aliens in our homes or roof and the first thing that comes to our mind is to get rid of that bats when they come closer.

Well, although they are not obviously dangerous to us, it cannot be guaranteed that they will not do harm to us. And for small children they may be harmful since the kids will get extremely scared out of them. So, in order to get rid of this unwanted guest we need bat removal either done by ourselves or a service.

In most cases, the inspection and removal of bat should be done at certain times during the year. The recommended time frame is between June to Aug. It should not be performed in cool weathers because of the risk that when the weather warms they come into your house and become active. After talking about the best time frame to remove bats, below I will give some tips about bat removal.

- Be extra careful when removing bats. Wear gloves, hats and have covering cloths on you since the bats might carry some diseases. Do not ever direct contact with the bat. And do not ave any area of your body open. It is not common that they will bite you but to be on the safe side is better. Call for medical help if ever you get bitten.

- Try to get them to a room with a window or door leading out of the house. You can use a long stick or a towel but do not mean to hurt them just direct it towards them and they will avoid it into the direction where you want to lead. When you get it closer to the outdoor room or window, close all other doors so that it is easier to get it out.

- Put the lights on. As bats do not see well and they do not like bright light they will try to go out of the house as soon as possible once they locate the door out.

- You can also try making a loud noise in the house by the TV or a music set. They are really sensitive to sounds and loud noise will piss them off.

- If you can not get them out by yourself, ask for help of a bat removal expert.

Removing a bat from your roof or balcony might not be the easiest thing most of the times, especially if it is not alone. Asking for a neighbor or a friend to help you on this might also not work because they haven't done this before and they are also scared a much as you. This is the point to ask for professional help.
