Amatuer Photograper

I don't claim to be a great photographer, but I do like taking pictures! The subject can be anything as long as you hand me a camera. Here's some of my favorites!

A little to the left...

As far as I can remember there's always been a camera in the house. My grandfather had a seriously expensive camera and spent hours posing various family and friends as well as complete strangers to get the 'right shot'. My mom even worked with a company taking school photos.

My first camera was a cheap plastic outfit with the little film canisters you just popped in. In college I took a photography class and learned how to give slide presentations. I've since moved on to digital photography and I like to think I do a pretty decent job.

Alaskan Inside Passage

September 2006

I was fortunate to be able to take a cruise to Alaska along the Inside Passage. Stops included Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Victoria, BC, and Seattle.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

October 2007 @ Disneyland

As a West Coast kid, you know Disneyland as one of the biggest theme parks on this coast. I've gotten many opportunities to visit the park and taken photographs. One of my favorites is the Haunted Mansion Holiday that takes over the Haunted Mansion from October to December.

Joshua Tree National Park

October 2007

In October 2007, I was lucky enough to get to spend some time in Joshua Tree National Park down in California. It was during the fires that ravaged southern California, providing a unique experience in the park.

Orchids

By no means am I a green thumb. I prefer indoor plants who require little care. But one plant I favor are orchids. I have several of the Phalaenopsis (commonly called the 'Moth orchid') variety and like taking pictures of them in bloom.

Rasputina

10/19/03 @ WOW Hall

Rasputina is a cello-rock band from NYC. Melora Creager founded and plays first chair in this unusual trio. I've had the chance to see them half a dozen times live and I've always had camera in hand. They give the most rockin' performances one can give on a cello!
