Batting Glove Tips

When playing softball or baseball, leave your batting glove on under your baseball glove for additional comfort. The batting glove will help absorb some of the shock and sting when catching a ball.

Batting gloves can get sweaty and wet during use. Instead of tossing them in the equipment bag after the game, lay them out in a cool, dry place and let them air dry. This will reduce bacteria and give them a longer life.

After using your glove, put it into a sealed bag or carrying case to trap the moisture into the leather. This will prevent your glove drying out and becoming stiff. Avoid putting oil on your glove or leaving it in the rain or weather. Oils and water can tend to saturate the leather, making the glove heavier and more difficult to use.
