An Unusual Choice Among My Favourite Cheeses
Bavarian smoked cheese is perhaps an unusual inclusion on my list of favourite cheeses, for the simple reason that it has more of a delicate rather than strong flavour. Usually, I go for cheeses which are so strong - even pungent - that the neighbours know I'm eating it! Hopefully here I can convey why I find this cheese so special.

Bavarian Smoked Cheese with Crackers
A classic snack or buffet combination
Cheese and crackers is a classic, virtually everyday food combination and Bavarian smoked cheese is no exception to this rule. Try the cracker and cheese only, or try adding a slice of tomato to the cracker first, as in the picture. I feel it adds that little something extra to the taste, without being in any way over-powering. Visiting Bavaria and Looking to Enjoy a Beer with your Cheese?

Bavarian Cheese Salad
A simple and satisfying lunch idea
Cheese of course goes very well in a salad and with its delicate flavour, Bavarian smoked cheese is very well suited to this dish. There are of course a virtually infinite number of items we can include on the plate but here with lettuce, tomato and cucumber, I think I have found just as good a combination as any.
