Bay of Islands, New Zealand

In the bay there are a few cool little towns, each with their own character. You can access the water pretty easily from all of them! Paihia has a small boat ramp if you're bringing a tinnie, otherwise jump on one of the organised sailing trips or cruises.

For sure you want to get out in the islands, once you're out there walking by the beautiful smell of tea-tree and hearing the waves, seeing the red flowers on the Pohutakawa trees - you won't want to leave!
