What Level of Football Coverage does the BBC Website Provide?

It is naturally to be expected that the BBC website provides in-depth coverage of all aspects of British football. The information is relevant, up to date and fairly detailed. It may not be so obvious to many, however, that the BBC also covers football from around Europe and even further afield, keeping us up to date with what is happening around the world. This site is dedicated to examining this truly excellent information service.

The theme tune to "Match of the Day"

I can remember this theme tune from my childhood and I am delighted that it is still used in similar form right through to this day. For me, it is the British football theme tune and I will forever associate it with the very best of football highlights.

Accessing the Football Front Page on the BBC 

It is possible to go straight to the football headlines page straight from the BBC homepage. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, to the panel entitled, "Explore the BBC." Under the sub-heading, "Sport," click on the word, "Football," and you will quickly be re-directed.

What will I find there?

The homepage is naturally where one will find all the top current headlines and the options to go directly to the section of choice. The headlines are featured in the centre and to the right hand side of the page, while to the left is the menu to assist in navigation.

It is possible to select "Live Videprinter" for constantly updated details of matches presently underway involving British clubs, a particular division for specific headlines and further options or even "My Club" which will take you directly to the page dealing with the latest news issues to affect any specified British senior club.

But let us deal with each of these options - and other more popular ones - one at a time...

"My Club" on the BBC Football Website 

Get all the latest news, specific to your club

The BBC Football website of course provides all the latest news on football in general but did you know that it is possible with a mere couple of clicks to specify the news relevant specifically to your own UK club?

From the left hand tool bar on the BBC Football homepage, select the option, "My Club," then either select your club's division from the menu at the top of the new page or scroll down to it and click on your club's name. You will subsequently be re-directed to the page giving all the latest headlines and news affecting your favourite team.
