I'm Bonnie, otherwise know as bdkz...

I'm part of the Squid Team and I love technology. This is me.

I've got at least 25 years worth of computer and gaming experience starting with my days on the Apple IIe playing "beer run". I graduated to the Atari 2600 where I became an expert at jumping over alligators on Pit Fall. Of course then it was the Nintendo 8 bit, the Atari 7800, Play Station, Wii, xBox and various other computer games. I actually met my husband over a game of Half Life.

In the 1990's I became an internet addict and received a BA in English with a minor in Art. I have experience in web design, social media and graphic design. My love of everything technology and the written word makes Squidoo a great fit for me.

A girl geek at heart...

and I have the glasses to prove it!

I would have to say that I am a self-proclaimed Girl Geek. I have worn glasses since the age of 7 and have had an obessesion for electronics from a very young age. I can remember taking apart clocks and radios when I was little to see what was inside. However seeing Star Wars in 1978 clinched my title. I was way more interested in Wookies and X-Wing fighters then dolls and dancing much to my mother's chagrin. So there you have it I'm a Geek!

    I grew up down the road from you in Ashland! I know those news/weather anchors. This was the type of ABOUT ME lens I decided to do this week. I like the FAQ section in the text list. I'm going to steal that idea :)

    Hi Bonnie I stopped by to see your about me, I found a couple of things amusing The Kia, my car, the exclamation mark I do it all the time. I enjoyed reading this thank you for sharing, it's good to know that I am not alone with the exclamation marks

    I came here in october looking for a giant squid and you came through for me then, Halloweendecorationideas, can you do it again pretty please for my new site? I just reread everything again to make sure I didnt miss anything, and this time I took notes! Great information for us little squids.

    Just took a peak over here after reading a few of your quest instructionals (not sure why that says it is spelled wrong), and was thrown into a bit of nostalgia when I saw Atari 2600 (Asteroids ya!). That reminds me of when my dad was all proud of his Commodore 64, and I bought my first Quiet Riot tape. Then a few years later of playing The Legend of Zelda, the ORIGINAL Super Mario Bros. and of course, Mike Tyson's punch out. Oh the good old days.

    Anyways, cool little bio-type of lens, and nice picture of the Challenger. I am a bit of a car nut myself.

    Hi Bonnie,

    Thanks for all the links and tips on how to improve our lenses. I've been trying to find a way to remove all the ads from the lenses I create (including Google Adsense). Is that possible and if yes, how can I do it?

    Hi Moocha, It is not possible to remove the Google Adsense ads. These are part of the Squidoo lens.

    I joined Squidoo awhile back and haven't did much. I am now interested in learning how
    to squid more often. Can you check out my newest lens and let me know what you think
