My RocketMoms Adventure. All Eight Projects. And The Biggest Lesson

RocketMoms Group changed my Squid life. Here I was going about my business when I got an invitation to join this exclusive group. I wanted to join, no question, thinking that it would be a good way to meet new folks and share with and learn from each other.

RocketMoms Group turned out to be that and much more!

Soaring With The RocketMoms

So, what's the biggest lesson?

Step outside your comfort zone, and soar.

We may not even be aware that we are adhering to a set of rules and limitations that we've made for ourselves — no matter how well we know and believe that we must, indeed, step out of our comfort zones.

The about me lens was fun to play around with. I never would have done it without the RocketMoms. Never would have thought to. The niche lens? The recipe lens? Those topics never would have been on my radar. I was "comfortably" doing my own thing, here.

Yes, these challenges caused initial concern and anxiety, but doing them anyway was how I learned the lesson.

My RocketMoms Lenses

Below are my eight completed lens projects

Our challenge was to complete six project lenses and two extra-credit lenses. I met the challenges and was awarded a graduation lens. Visit, and sign my card!

Wow, this is very exciting! I was wondering what the RocketMom thing was all about and that's what called me to your lens. Nice work and congratulations on passing the class. Enjoy being uncomfortable and as Darth Vader would say: "Impressive, most impressive!"

I have been with RocketMoms since the first class. I have learned so much since then. I usually do more lenses than required but there's always one assignment that I balk at. While I'm willing to step out of my comfort zone there are some lenses that are not my forte. I've only received one graduation certificate but I'll be in there swimming with the rest of the Squids in January.
    Happy New Year,
    Lizzy

Bev said it so well! You are an excellent lensmaster and I consider you one of the nicest people on Squidoo that I know. This is a nice RocketMom lens.
    You are a blessing!

Mimi- I hear you about "doing your own thing" and when I was invited to Rocket Moms, like you I was somewhat nervous as I only had a few lenses published. What a change it made reading others, and seeing their struggles at learning, as well as how others shared and helped us. This prepared me for the September Giant Challenge, something I would never have done on my own.

Interesting and informative lens. I beleive a great deal of personal growth happens when we step out of our safety zone. But it is always scary at first. Your lenses are great Mimi.

WTG, MiMi! Congrats on completing your Rocket Mom challenges. I'm really enjoying Rocket Moms this term but it's been a challenge (like u said) stepping out of my comfort zone (as well) as I'm a very quiet & private person. It's been a great adventure! :)

I feel very privileged to have been invited into RocketMoms with intelligent, classy women, such as yourself. I have made some lifelong friends and certainly learned a lot about Squidoo.
