Be Kind to the Earth, Love It, Hug It, and Respect It - The Reusable Bag of the Month

Mother Earth could use a little respect nowadays. Carbon pollution, emissions, and depletion of our trees have contributed to rising sea levels, droughts, crop failures, and an all-around mess. What can we do to stop it? Small changes! Little things will result in some much respect for the environment, influence and encourage others to make some green changes, and slow the effects of climate change.

Here at EcoGreenBags, we're committed to spreading the word about helping out the environment... on reusable tote bags! Here on this page, you can find some green tips, as well as our reusable bag of the month, our Love the Earth canvas tote bag. It's a great way to show how much you love our planet!

5 Ways to Use Less Plastic - Respect the Earth!

Ways to reduce plastic use and help the environment

Here are some ways you can reduce your plastic use, besides switching to reusable bags!

1. Reusable containers. Whether you're using ziploc containers or plastic free sealable containers, going reusable with your food is a big step in reducing plastic waste.

2. Reduce prepackaged food use. We're talking about those 100 calorie packs, individually wrapped items, and other convenience based foods. Where there's "convenience" there's often waste and added costs.

3. Bring your own cup. At work, on the road, on the go, bring your own cup. Even fast food establishments will refill most cups for you. You might even save some money! That's a lot of saved plastic.

4. Bring your own bag. Not just to the grocery store, but bring your own bag to the mall, to the convenience store... you never know when you might need it!

5. Reuse plastic. You'll get an enormous amount of plastic shipped to you in many packages you receive at your home. Plastic air pockets can be reused by shippers, and they might actually be glad to get their hands on them! Save some up and post a free online ad, or ask your local post office or shipping service if they could use them. Chances are they want them!

Not sure what to do with some of your plastic? You might be able to recycle it.
