Live at the beach and this lens is perfect! Good stuff for that beach picnic--glad you included umbrellas to discourage the seagulls!! :>)

Oh my, yes ... it is the only way to go when you live in Florida! Been on a lot of them. It can be quite an all-day affair.

Excellent lens on beach picnics. I guess I was spoiled growing up in the UK, because we had a beach hut, and so could have a picnic by the beach, but could wash our hands before eating and eat on the promenade by the hut instead of on the sand, therefore reducing the likelihood of getting sand on our food.

I spent 3 years in South Florida and spent several Christmas Days down at the beach. There it was nice to have beach chairs and an umbrella, and being able to park close it was possible to bring a decent cooler which doubled as a table. I love the beach.

I would definitely enjoy a beach picnic! However with our stupid rainy and windy weather, you can imagine how a beach picnic would end up in my area. Crossing fingers for next summer to be better than this one and I bookmark those tips so that I can come back, hehe.

Beach picnics can be very romantic but they can also be a lot of fun when you take the kids as well. I once took a date on a moonlight beach picnic which I would recommend to everyone to try even if not for a date, as it's a whole new experience. Great lens.

Thanks so much for sharing your tips. Whenever I try to pack for a picnic I tend to forget things and that sort of ruins the activity. I really love how informative and very helpful this lens, I am just learning a lot. You did a great job!

Finally finished my angel recognition lens, so returning to tell you that this lens has been 'featured on' and 'lensrolled to' my "SquidAngel Blessings by an Elf" lens. :-). After a cold Missouri winter, I'm sure ready for a 'beach' trip. :)

I'm sitting here in 40 degrees in Missouri wishing I had a warm beach to visit. :) Seriously, I lived for many years near the beach on both the East and the West Coast and picnics at the beach were a regular occurrence. Food just tastes better at the beach somehow - the fresh air, the warm sand, the sounds of the surf -- doesn't get any better than that!

In California we used to go to a different beach along the Central Coast every weekend and take a little portable grill and cook hamburgs/hot dogs after an afternoon of enjoying the beach. The kids loved it as much as we did. Wonderful days - great memories. I DEFINITELY like Beach Picnics!

This lens definitely makes you want to pack a basket with great food and head for the beach. :-) I like how you included beach games as well.
  • Annie Apr 20, 2010 @ 5:43 am | delete
Pack all the picnic accessories in your basket, and check one last time to make sure you are bringing everything you need before you head out. Even if you do forget something, laugh it off and make the best of it, at least it's a beautiful day.

That was a complete guideline/tip. Thank you for sharing it with us. Beach picnic is really exciting and enjoyable. The place is very comfortable and relaxing. Its very an appropriate place for the people who are experiencing depression, sadness, stressed, etc. Plus, when I think about what will be the food, I'm starting to drool. Because I am imagining lots of food. hehe.. And I am very impressed with the new product of Happy Tiffin (http://www.happytiffin.com) which is the Insulated Tiffin Carrier Bag with 3 Tier Tiffin. It will be very a compatible bag buddy because it keeps the food stay hot or cold. I do love eating. I will no longer become worried about the food I'll bring at times like this.

I have honestly never had a good beach picnic. I have always ran into one mishap or another. Mainly getting sand in my food and then taking a disgustingly sandy bite of it. Those that can do it without mishap are definitely better than I am, that's for sure. Maybe next time, I'll just pitch a whole tent which I can zip up. There's a thought.
