Living at the Beach - About Me
Living one block from the beach in Cape May Point, New Jersey is a joy. Having my camera with me every time I walk the beach supplies me with many great photo opportunities.
Having recently retired from a full time job in a hectic engineering office I found the need to expand my interests and so began my love affair with photography. Just an amateur but who knows!

Every time I turn around there is a new picture to snap and with the new digital cameras I can afford to do just that. Peaceful and A Nature Lovers Dream
I raised four daughters and am now a grandmother of seven and believe me, we have a wonderful time when they visit my husband and I. Living at the beach offers an instant playground during the summer months when they are not attending school. Cape May Point is very family oriented and the perfect place to enjoy the summer.In the off season (Sept. - April) walking the beach and taking photos of birds and the beach is my favorite pastime. Cape May Point is a major geographical funnel along the Atlantic flyway during annual bird migration and thousands come just to watch this incredible sight.

Joe Jordon lives in Cape May Point and is an author of several books. I know him personally and he took the time to interview many of the older residents, including my Father-in Law, over the years to discover the true history of Cape May Point. My FIL was a lifegard in Cape May Point in the 1930's and became the first to hold the title of Beach Director in the 1970's..

- *****Each accomplishment is a blessing in my life, you see, in 2003 I experienced a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (ruptured brain aneurysm) while on the treadmill at the gym. I was not suppose to recover. After over a year of rehab and re-learning the basics I'm back! Each day I am thankful for even the smallest treasure and these photos are treasures to me.*****

- Wonderful photos. I love Cape May. Really miss the beach since I moved to central NY nine years ago. Lakes just aren't the same for me.

- I love the beach too! I only get to visit Galveston but we have found our favorite, peaceful beaches. It's a big bonus when I get to experience a body of water out of Texas.
