Why I Love My Beach Wedding Photos

Early this year, my husband (then fiance) and I went to the lovely Bintan Beach in Indonesia for our wedding photography. We love our beach wedding photos because our wedding photographer managed to capture us in our most spontaneous expressions when we were enjoying ourselves and having a lot of fun.

In the sections below, you will see our beach wedding photos: some are beautiful, some are playful, some are silly and some are outrageous. For couples who are planning to have a beach wedding, I hope our beach wedding pics sparkle an inspiration or two for your own beach wedding photography!

Sunset adds amazing colors to beach wedding photos

A must for your beach wedding photography

Sunset is my favorite moment at the beach. With the descending sun adding warm colors to the sea and the sky, it offers the most stunning scenery for romantic beach wedding photos. If you are planning for a beach wedding, do reserve a time slot for photography during the sunset!

Cool sea breeze makes the wedding gown fly

Let the elements enhance your beach wedding pics

Besides the beautiful sunset, you can also enjoy the cool sea breeze. When taking wedding photos at the beach, take full advantage of the natural elements. I love playing with my bridal gown and veil, holding them up in the wind and let them fly. They create visual interest and look dreamy in the photos.

Couples kissing on beach

The excitement of being at the beach in our wedding attire, in some ways, made us a little extra lovey-dovey. Our photographer managed to capture quite a few shots of our spontaneous smooches.

Love is... planting a kiss on your lips

Intriguing little marine lives

Moments of fascination

For those who have an eye for details or who likes to comb the beach for seashells, you'll find an amazing array of fascinating little creatures on the beach. I love the enthusiasm and fascination on our faces in this photo when we spotted two tiny crabs scurrying into the sand to hide from us.

Tell a story with your beach wedding photos

Hyperactive groom and bride on the beach

Happiness is... run, jump and dance like nobody's watching

I love sandy beach with fine, white powdery sand. The warmth and silky texture on the bare feet is simply exhilarating. The freedom to run, jump and dance around in wide open space at the beach is so tempting that the extra weight of a big wedding gown could not stop me. You can even roll around in the sand if you are not too concerned about maintaining the composure of a shy, demure bride! ;)

Doing cartwheel in wedding dress

Will you help me with a caption for this photo?

Yes, that's me in in my casual beach wedding dress! Doing cartwheel is a little "personal ritual" that I always perform whenever I come to a really nice and clean beach. *Sheepish smile*

I'm head over heels in love with you!

Get ready for the sea

It's playtime!

Fun time - water fight!

Let's see who gets drenched first!

This is really the best part! The fun experience of playing and laughing to our hearts' content in the sea has become our treasured memories. Keeping beautiful beach wedding photos is great, having such special memories is priceless!
