Using Nature's Own Beads....

African Lucky Bean

African Lucky Beans Used as Beads for Jewelry

When I lived in Africa you could buy lucky bean bracletts and necklaces made from the bright red and black lucky bean. These beans come from a plant which grows in Africa. The beans are used in place of beads and make lovely trinkets and jewelery. They are bright red with a black dot.

Try some of these beads on a collage pin - I have a lens for this craft. Nature bead would be something quite new.

I just love color and what better way to change a standard bead project by changing the colors? Margie was often asked how to use the colorwheel. That question takes considerable time to answer and it took Margie four years and 144 pages to answer to it in this book!

Can't bear the thought of not being able to bead while you are away? This could be the answer! Compact this set includes a wire cutter, a chain nose plier and a round nose plier. Each has a different colored handle for easy identification. The miniature bead board is big enough to design a bracelet, a short necklace or the center of a longer necklace design and is flocked to keep beads from rolling. There's also a thread snipper and a knotting tweezer. Overall size is 7 x 4.25 x 1 inches (17.5 x 11 x 2.5 cm).
