ALL BEAGLES ROCK!!!!!!
My long term goal is to one day have a farm with different animals in the country and also have a farm specifically for Beagles.
I remember a story about te actress, Kim Bassinger, who had rescued almost 100 beagles and brought them all home to live with her. A clinical trials company was using them to test all kinds of products. It was an amazing and inspiring story. I have much respect for Kim now than I ever did before. She really won me over as a true animal lover and humanitarian.
That story was so compelling and so special that it brings tears to my eyes when I think about the courage she had to do what she did. Kim fought hard to get the beagles out of that testing site. Trust me, it was not an easy endeavor but she did it. Beagles are the breed of choice when it comes to testing. Many die and suffer from severe pain, It is a horrifying thought which I can't even begin to fathom or conceive.

LEARN ABOUT THE BEAGLE BREED
Description:The Beagle has soft brown or hazel eyes that give way to their warm personality but do not reveal their admirable courage and stamina. A truly trustworthy friend can be found in Beagles and they makes a great family pet as they are eager to romp and play. Beagles are a good watchdog as they can be trained to hunt. Known as the "singing Beagle," they have a sweet hunting voice, but if left alone may howl. Training will alleviate this problem, and they usually do not howl when inside the house with family. They will adapt well to a home or kennel environment, but new owners should be aware of natural hunting instincts and they should not be left alone for long periods of time.
Beagles come in a variety of colors,
but usually with white feet and chest, as well as the tip of their tail, with tan and black markings on their backs. They are small and lean, and slightly longer than they are tall. Beagles have ears that naturally droop down. The Beagle also has excellent scenting abilities, as they are of the Hound group, and will follow a scent if given the opportunity. Known for their short stature and sweet disposition, Beagles make excellent companion and hunting dogs.

Country of Origin: Great Britain
History: The Beagle has existed in Britain at least since the reign of Edward III. It is said that Edward III used a pack of 120 of them on the battlefield during the One Hundred Years' War. The name Beagle may come from the Old English or Welsh word for "small" being "beag", or the French word for "open throat" or more idiomatically, "loudmouth", "begueule."
During the Renaissance they were used to hunt hares and wild rabbits in Wales and France, and have also been used to hunt wild pig and even deer in Scandinavia, as well as cottontail rabbit in the United States. In both Canada and the U.S. the Beagle was used as a gundog to both seek out and retrieve. Beagles were known as the best hare dog among small hounds. They are small-medium sized dogs today, but during the reign of King Henry VIII, were said to be so small they could fit in your pocket. Beagles in their day were allegedly about 8 or 9 inches tall. This coined the name "Pocket Beagles", in which King Henry VIII's daughter Elizabeth I owned many. These "Pocket Beagles" are allegedly extinct, although some claim they crop up in litters once in a while. Beagles are the most chosen dog for animal testing due to their passive and adaptive personalities.
During 1954 they were the most popular dog in the United States, and continued to remain on the Top 10 most popular dog breed list for many years. Today, Beagles serve as drug-sniffing dogs, as well as sniffer dogs that search out food in luggage being transferred to the U.S. These Beagles are called the Beagle Brigade. Beagles have been used in numerous films such as Copper from The Fox and the Hound by Disney, comic strips such as Peanuts by Charles M. Shulz, and books such as Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds.

JETTA & KOKO
MY TWO DEAR BEAGLES.
JETTA, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.
KOKO, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH AND YOU HAVE GIVEN ME YEARS OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND SUPPORT. LOOKING FOR MORE YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP AND COMPANIONSHIP.
PHOTOS OF BEAGLES
The greatest excitement for me is to meet another Beagle owner. Most of them are so nice and talkative. We talk about our pets. I always love to notice how each Beagle tri= colors are on their fur. Koko has a white face with brown mixed in, brown ears, black on top of her body and underneath the rest of her body is brown. Her tail is brown and black and with a white tip on top. Her paws are also white like she is wearing booties. It is also so funny that when u look at her eyes they are lined black like she is wearing make-up. That cracks me up. Another thing that I chuckle about is the way she walks, she walks with a swaying motion that I find very humorous. When she is doing something she is not supposed to do, the tip of her tail starts to wag really fast. So I know she is up to something sneaky. For example, jumping on the table when no one is looking and stealing food and then trying to hide it from me. Can anyone out there relate to what I am saying?

- Not finicky about her food. Eats just about anything including people food. Of course, I give her healthy human food as I would give myself. Sometimes I laugh because she eats better than me. LOL

PET TIPS
-Never hit your dog, they don't know what they are doing. It is not on purpose, they have to be trained to know right from wrong.
-Never give them shoes to play with because before you know it, your shoes will become the next chewing fascination.
-Take yr dog to be neutered/spayed.
-Adopt a pet.
BEAGLE TALK (CHINESE/ENGLISH)
Cute Phrases and Words
I have taught her language and commands such as:
*lay lay - lay down
*mum mum - food
*snacksy - snacks
*niu niu (chinese) - pee
*stinky - #2
*bye bye - going out
*mommy - me
*nappy - sleeptime
*upup- carry you up
*kiss kiss - kiss
*play play - play
I find it kind of humerous when I look at my list and see that some of the phrases are words in doubles. Funny isn't it?!
DOGS
BEAGLES ARE LOYAL
Koko loves me unconditioally. Even when I am sad and things are going really poorly. Koko lays her head next to me and lets me cry in peace. She is still and gives me comfort just by being there for me.
