I have a special relationship with brown bears, as they walk by my kitchen in Alaska, when I cook there during the silver salmon run. I have some video footage from that on my lens on Cooking in Alaska.

I learned how to tell a black bear from a grizzly bear from a guy who gave a talk on the cruise ship. It was such an interesting talk about what to do when you come across each type of bear as they act differently. I had the bears a bit mixed up now so it was good to see the info on how to tell them apart again. Anyway, great lens! I love bears, just hope I don't ever encounter one in the wild. :)

I'm a big bear fan and a wildlife artist (my lens just went online at http://www.squidoo.com/beyondreal/). You might also want to link to the American Bear Association for your charities. You can adopt a bear for about $100.
