Vintage Beatles Albums - What Are They Worth?
Do you love the Beatles?
I'd seen the Beatles on Ed Sullivan's TV show - my entire family watched both performances, enraptured. I'm so glad I didn't miss those two shows! The introduction of the Beatles to the USA was was definitely a turning point in history.
My father said I could have ONE album, and of course, I wanted them all. It was so hard to make that decision. Would it be Meet the Beatles, Introducing the Beatles, or The Beatles Second Album. That was all that was available.
I chose Introducing the Beatles, took it home, and fell in love with every song they recorded. The Beatles entertained me then. They entertained my children, and now, nearly fifty years later, they entertain us all still.

Thanks for visiting this page about vintage Beatles Albums....
I still have a lot of the original albums I bought back then, and I won't be selling them - I'll give them to my daughter, who is also a Beatles fan..
Yes, in case you're wondering... I was a Beatles fan in the sixties. From the time I heard about them, when I was eleven, I was obsessed. I saw them in 1966 in San Francisco's Cow Palace.
So, what do you think of the Beatles? Your comments are welcome...
-
Lennon, everlasting star!
I like Norwegian Wood, from the album Rubber Soul, Haruki Murakami got the name Norwegian Wood for his best and famous novel. -
I enjoyed my vinyl until Hurricane Katrina she decided she wanted them. Now I have them on CD
-
I love Beatles! Thanks, that there are some people who put their history of records together. Great post! -
I couldn't bear to part with my Beatles albums, even though I rarely listen to them any more because it's so much easier to put a CD on or listen to an MP3. Sometimes I just need to hear the vinyl, even with the scratches. -
The Beatles changed the music history. Only thing I regret is because I didn't born earlier. -
I have memories of the Beatles. I still like their music, especially in the mid 60's.I remember seeing them on Ed Sullivan and I was hooked since. Thanks for the memories! -
Judy Apr 22, 2013 @ 3:28 pm | deleteI don't see anything with the album titled Love Song. Brown cover with gold embossing of their faces. I believe it was published by Capitol Records in 1977. Wanted to know if there is any value placed on it.
Thank you -
Judy Apr 22, 2013 @ 3:24 pm | deleteI don't see the album called Love Songs. I thnk it was published in US in 1977 Capitol records -
So many memoreis with all of these songs. -
Awesome, I found myself humming the songs as I went through and answered the polls :D -
I'm sure these albums are worth thousands, especially if you keep your collection in good condition -
This lens is splendid. -
Great day for me to find this lens! Fifty years to the day of their first album. Rubber Soul, BTW, is the best! -
Great lens, you know that on March 22, 1963 they released their first album? Exactly 50 years ago! -
nice lens. thank for the list -
Nice lens. My dad has some Beatles albums, I'll get him to check out this page! -
Beatles. beginning of everything, even of my music road :) -
I think the Beatles are really good. We used to have a lot of their albums, they are probably still around in my parents' house! -
Really great content here- I didn't know my old Beatles' records were worth that much. I'd never sell them though. -
I don't know if I ever owned a Beatles album. HOWEVER, I owned a mixed cassette tape of Beatles songs that the older brother of a friend gave me. It was a well listened to tape. -
Cindy Feb 20, 2013 @ 2:24 pm | deleteGreat overview of records....still have EVERYTHING Beatle...records, covers, sleeves...dolls, magazines....you name it! Prized possession....stub from 8/23/66 Shea Stadium....what a great Mother I had to take me! -
A veeery good lens mate ;) -
I'm going to have to take a look at my Beatles collection now. I have one album and one single that were purchased from the U.K. some 40+ years ago. -
What a great resource. So much information. My family watched Ed Sullivan every week, but I somehow missed that February 64 show. Every other kid in the neighbourhood saw it. I still have my original Hard Days Night and Beatles 65. Completely worn out thought. Thanks for a cool lens. -
Thanks for sharing this lens "Vintage Beatles Albums - What Are They Worth?" -
I'm a great fan of The Beatles. This lens made me rekindle the past with my father listening to their timeless music. -
Like my comic book collection as a kid, I was short sighted and gave away my Beatles records. Oh man, do I wish I had them today. Good lens. -
Beatles = Amazing. Thank you very much for this lens. This is cool. -
Wow, some of these brought back some memories. I was a second generation Beatles fan in the 1980s when I couldn't stop playing their music, and when I was learning guitar myself. -
The Beatles have been my favorite since I was a little girl. My father bought their first albums and I listened to them. As I grew up I started buying more, now we have lots of them, wish we had them all :) -
Great lens, I loved the Beatles music! -
I saw them when they played Red Rocks in Denver. I can remember that the tickets were the unheard of price of $6.60! Great lens by the way, they were truly the most influential band of the last 100 years for how they changed Rock and Roll and influence music even today. -
Hi I blog often and I truly appreciate your content.
This great lens has truly peaked my interest.
Reading this will surely bring us back to the good
old days when three guitars and one drum is enough
to make great music.
Question : Were you one of the screaming teenagers
following the group around in San Francisco . -
I tried screaming but it seemed kind of silly, so I soon gave up the idea... LOL. -
I had forgotten about so many of their songs. Like most kids growing up we had our favorites. A friend of mine had everything the Beatles ever did, she even had the White Album. When we were in England we got to see much of the Beatles tour things. We were trying to get to the cave, when we saw the Magical Mystery Tour Bus. What fun having the police show us around. Everyone was so great and kind to us. -
What a great lens. Really beautiful. -
What an awesome Beatles lens! -

I've gone from vinyl to tape to disk to MP3. The music sounds as good now as it did 50 years ago. -
Beatles music is the best -
Glad you'll be keeping yours in your family! Interesting topic for a lens - fun and artful. Good job. -
The Beatles is Magic -
Now I will have to blow a bit of dust off the old covers. -
This is a Great Lens so many great songs and memories! -

One of the best album by the beatles is revolver. For me, it was a masterpiece! -

I've heard a couple of their songs. -
Brings me back, thanks for the list -
Monte Nov 27, 2012 @ 6:21 pm | deleteI have an album that has a number of bands on it including Rory Storm and the Hurricanes and several others. It also has the Beatles long before they got famous. They might even be listed as the Silver Beatles. It's packed away right now so I can;t give you the exact title. ANy thoughts on what something like this might be worth? -
I have no idea. As with most used objects, an album is worth whatever you can get for it. -
Thanks for the lens. Music would not be the same without these four guys. -
You brought back many memories. I could listen to my beatles albums over and over again...and if I still had a functional turntable I would still be doing it! I have most on cassette, yet another outdated technology, and not nearly as good a reproduction as the vinyl it was recorded from. Thanks for the memories.
-
I am a HUGE music buff, and love all forms of rock music from the 1950s to today, but the Beatles are still my favorite band by far. Great lens! (Bonus points for including both U.S. and British releases.) -
People sure still love the Beatles... Even after all these years... :) Great page, great details about each album.. -
Great lens - the Beatles still rock today -
I didn't realize they had so many albums til I read this!! Giving this lens its 800th Squidlike,
-
SO much better than most of the dross around today. Love live the Beatles! -
Agree with this totally -
I love my vintage Beatles albums, and I am still reluctant to let go of them. But this was interesting information. -
The Beatles seemed to have done alright due to musical ability. Today's performers understand that there's much more to being popular. -
MA Jenkins Nov 15, 2012 @ 8:25 pm | deleteMy aunt has a Sgt Pepper album that has cut-outs on the sleeve, and pictures of the Beatles on the vinyl. Is this worth anything? -
Sounds like a special edition. I've never heard of anything like it. All you could do to find out what the market would pay is to put it on eBay and let collectors bid on it. An album is worth what you can get for it. -
James Nov 12, 2012 @ 7:10 am | deleteHi, I just picked up the first pressing "Die Beatles" released by Horzu in Germany, is it worth anything? -
Check eBay to see if anyone is selling it, and compare prices and consider the condition of your Beatles album. -
I have all of the American (Capitol) Beatles releases on vinyl, but I'm willing to bet I'd have much better luck finding better deals on English releases... in England! Hope to go there one day. -
Check eBay for the English releases too! -
The Beatles were before my time but I do enjoy some of their music! Awesome lens! -
They are timeless...IMHO. -
A very cool lens, indeed! thanks so much for sharing! Blessed by a SquidAngel! -
Thanks, Josh! -
Love their songs! Old school but still sounds good today -
Yes, they will sound good forever! -
Gina.Aloise@gmail.com Oct 31, 2012 @ 3:35 pm | deletei have some beetle albums i would like to sell but dont know what they are worth -
Hopefully you'll get some idea of what you can charge after reading this page. -
Fantastic lens for Beatles fans, I don't think there's anything left out! -
All the USA releases... I didn't include English and others. -
I can play Beatles music over and opver without tiring of it. It's amazing that it was all over in such a few short years, and I was just thinking as I voted on my favorite album that they went out right at the top - Abbey Road is my favorite, and I'm sure there would have been plenty more where that came from if they had stayed together. -
Yes, it was a very sad burn-out for all involved and for their fans. -
I love Beatles!! The songs are so meaningful and lively.. :) -
Yes, and easy to understand, in most cases. All you need is love... what more needs to be said? -
Great lens for the Beatle's lover :)
-
Yes, and are you one? I certainly can't get over the love they gave us... -
They are simply the best. My favorite: "Strawberry Field Forever". Only know about it after watching Across the Universe. Keep ringing in my head every time I feel lonely and helpless (without any real relation). -
Very cool... now I need to go watch Across the Universe... I'm not sure whether I've seen that. -
Excellent lens! Squidlike -
Thanks, Noveliaa, glad you liked it. -
Rubber Soul and the White album are my favorites...but I love so many others as well. I saw A Hard Days Night a cover band at a gallery show and they were amazing - Load More
