John, Paul, George and Ringo
The Beatles were an English musical group from Liverpool whose members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music.
The Beatles are the best-selling musical act of all time in the United States of America, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. In the United Kingdom, The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries: their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion discs and tapes worldwide. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked The Beatles #1 on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Their innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 1960s, and their influence on pop culture is still evident today.
The Beatles led the mid-1960s musical "British Invasion" into the United States. Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the group explored genres ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. Their clothes, styles, and statements made them trend-setters, while their growing social awareness saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s. (read more)
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green
Towering over your head
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
and she's gone

What is the official name? The Beatles or Beatles. The U.S. patent office lists Beatles and or each album it states Beatles - Abbey Road, not The Beatles -- Abbey Road. Any reference book does not list the band in the T section, you won't CD's in the T section.

Do you have Squidoo fans considering sharing all their special Beatles memories for our book?? We are on Page 50 in our book. Our group have members who have sent or are sending their stories as Beatles fans, starting with the first day they became a Beatles fan. Your age makes no difference. All the little stories as fans surrounding friends, family, school, concerts you went to before or after the Beatles broke up. No story is too trivial or unimportant. Its a part of you. We are putting stories together so people can be featured as guest speakers in the ficticious fan club in the book. We plan on using peoples real names as the speakers. We are Beatles fans writing a book about Beatle fans.....RedRoseSpdwy@AOL.COM or
