One of my favorite Paris landmark. The Arc de Triomphe (Triumphal Arch) is beautiful and highly detailed. It was built in 1806 to celebrate Napoleon's victory in Austerlitz. After WWI it becomes a monument to all soldiers who died for France. Under the Arc you will find the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Arc de Triomphe is one of the 3 arches that stands on the famous line that runs from the Louvre to the Grande Arche de la Defense. If you go on top of the Arc de Triomphe you will see that perfect line that unite old and new Paris. On a clear day you will see: the Grande Arche de la Defense, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and of course the Luxor Obelisk. The Arch itself is magnificent. Anywhere you look there's an interesting detail. It features 4 main sculptures (including the famous Marseillaise) and 6 reliefs. It's worth going if you have time. And on a clear day, well worth the price to climb up the Arch.

Seine river runs trough Paris making bridges a necessity. There is 37 bridges in Paris that allows easy crossing from one bank to the other. Some are very simple, other are piece of art. My favorite are:

Le Pont Neuf: the oldest bridge in Paris. Built between 1578 and 1604. Incredible, walking on a bridge that has seen so much history.

Le pont Alexandre III: probably the most famous. It is beautiful, it's like walking on a piece of art. Decorated with lots of sculptures and golden details.

Built in 1889. It was supposed to be dismantled after the World Fair. It was not, and La Tour Eiffel is now the symbol of Paris, France as well as love. It is the most visited Paris monument. If you want to see it, be ready for extra long waiting lines if you hate waiting, you can take the line for those who want to take the stairs...usually this line is pretty short. Also, try going on a sunny and clear day to enjoy the best view.
