Skin Damaging Factors
To prolong youthful looking skin avoid skin damaging factors
Exclude (or at least minimize) damaging factors to your skin. To the damaging factors belong:1. Sun
2. Cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine
3. Skin irritants (harsh detergents,some acne products, chlorine etc.)
4. Excessive skin cleansing, peeling and exfoliation can dry out the skin, irritate and damage living skin cells and eventually exhaust the skin and bring down its ability to regenerate
5. Overuse of skin care products

7. Extreme weather

Skin Type
It is very important to choose your skin care products and adapt your skin care routine according to your skin type.
First of you need to identify your skin type.1. Normal skin - balanced skin not too oily and not too dry. Is usually smooth and naturally well moisturized. The pores are fine and not very visible.
2. Dry - skin is the result of low activity of skin oil glands, it is prone to wrinkles, looks dull, and is sensitive.
3. Oily skin - the skin surface is oily/shiny due to high secretion of sebum, has large clogged pores. Prone to spots, pimples, black heads etc. However oily skin remains younger looking for longer time as compared to all the other skin types.
4. Combination skin - mostly it is combination of oily skin in T-zone area (forehead, nose and chin) and normal or dry around the cheeks, eyes, mouth
Some cosmetologists single out "Sensitive skin" as the 5th skin type. However it is more of a skin condition than skin type. All the types of skin can be sensitive and characterized by delicacy and sensitivity (hyper-reaction such as breakouts, redness, itchiness) to the changes in environment, cosmetics containing alcohol, synthetics etc.
