Searching for Everyday Miracles
Ranked #5,859 in Squidoo Community, #370,493 overall
EverydayMiracles is Becki Rizzuti
My name is Becki Rizzuti, and this is my page. From here you will be able to view the various different pages that I have written on Squidoo, and I hope that you will find something that you can enjoy.
Please feel free to explore this page. I am in the process of completely re-creating it, so there might be gaps for the time being.
Please note that some lenses fit into more than one category and may be listed twice.
I Made Giant!
April 11th, 2011
I never expected it! Although I (obviously) applied, I thought that I was going to get rejected, and I was so prepared for heartbreak. I cannot tell you how excited I was to be accepted as a Giant Squid!
My goal is 100 lenses and 100-Club status in September of 2011. I may make it in June but that's highly doubtful, considering the types of lenses that I'm currently working on, and getting them broken down into genres and sub-genres. I hope that you will enjoy what you find below. These lenses are worthy of Giant status!
Let's Start with the Best
My Purple Star Lenses

On September 16th, 2010 I won my first purple star, and I was only recently awarded my second purple star award for a more recently finished lens on March 17th, 2011. This is an incredible honor! I would love to know who nominated these lenses for purple stars. If it was you, please come forward!
I would love eventually for all of my Women of Strength and Courage to be awarded with Purple Stars. I work very hard on this series. You will be able to see more lenses in this niche further down the page.
I just received my third purple star tonight, on March 25th, 2011. Yes, that's two in a two week period. I'm thrilled. Thank you so much for nominating my Hunger Games Movie lens and for finding it worthy!
Paying it Forward...
Lenses I've recommended for Purple Stars...
I missed out on paying forward the first purple star. I had no idea what I was doing, and I hadn't been around Squidoo for a while when I discovered that I had it. I'm very sorry about that! So I've paid forward one purple star -- so far!
Countdown to My Two Year Squidoo Anniversary!
My Wonderful Husband
And his Lenses
My husband, Leo, just recently joined Squidoo. He's an amazing man!
We've been married a year and a half now, but we've been together for seven years (give or take a few months). He is a wonderful father to our daughter Evelyn. He enjoys intellectual discourse, politics and sports. He is smart and witty and usually a lot of fun to be around. I'm sure that you'll enjoy reading his lenses too, so go ahead and check him out. You know you want to!

Women of Strength and Courage
The Reason I came to Squidoo
I first started out writing historical pieces on Hubpages. They weren't popular and they didn't fit with the overall tone of the site. I wasn't happy at Hubpages in general, and I decided to bring my planned series here, to Squidoo. Once there are five lenses in this series I am determined to make its own lensography. For now there are four and a fifth in progress, with another twenty-five or so lenses planned. These lenses take a lot of work to put together in terms of research and designing the lens, so I do hope that you can appreciate why I so rarely publish one!
I would love to see these lenses all get purple stars, so if you're a Giant 100 member and you happen upon one of them and think that they are worthy, I would appreciate the nomination. Marie Curie took me months to finish and I still think that it needs work (just to show you how much effort goes into these).
I've been adding Quizzes
I've been adding quizzes to my women of strength and courage lenses to quiz visitors on the material in the lens. So far the only lens that has this addition is the Helen Keller lens, and nobody has taken the quiz. What do you think of this addition. Is it for better, or for worse?
The Sims
The niche I thought I'd claimed...
I really thought that I had claimed this niche, right up until the point when it became too exhausting to try to keep up with Carl's Sims 3 Guide. Please don't misunderstand; I will continue to write lenses in this niche, but it takes a lot of time to put them together and I would rather let Carl, Pam and Metro do what they do so well instead of me taking their business for my own. What I can do better, I will; what I can't, I won't even try to compete!
Book Lenses: Warrior Cats
From a Role Playing Site!
These aren't technically book lenses. At the time that I wrote them, I was active on a Warriors role playing site that I was really enjoying. I created both of these lenses in order to help the site owner to promote the site. It was the #1 in Google at the time, but Google updates were resulting in some drops, and I wanted to help to promote a site that I loved. I did it in a way that I think was healthy, and I still enjoy these lenses. A couple of times a week, somebody takes the quiz.
At this point I do plan on actually reading the series and reviewing the books. I got my hands on a couple at Half Price Books the other day and was surprised by the quality of the writing!
Book Lenses: The Hunger Games
One of my favorites!
I have worked up a whole "mini series" on The Hunger Games and plan on expanding this little niche. I hope that you enjoy it!
Book Lenses: Twilight
I do love Twilight!
Yeah, yeah. I know. I'm in my thirties and I'm not supposed to enjoy this series. Trust me, it's been drilled into my head that I shouldn't enjoy these books. It's too bad. I do!
Book Lenses: Nora Roberts Romance Series
Going through these a bit at a time!

- I love the Sims 2 and have looked at Sims 3 but don't have time right now (I have a almost 3yr daughter and a 11 week old son) I enjoyed a number of your lenses today. Great work.
