If I Knew Then What I Know Now...

After I lost my job I had no idea what to do with myself. I was going crazy because I really wanted to become video game tester but I didn't think it was possible.

There were just too many people with more experience than me applying for the few coveted positions at the big companies...

I spent months searching the Internet and all the big jobs sites without any luck. Most companies wouldn't even reply when I sent them my resume.

Getting Noticed - You Get What You Pay For!

I decided I'd submit a minimum of 15 resumes a week to video game companies. I was basically shooting in the dark half the time, because even though positions did pop up on job sites like Monster, they were few and far between.

I did this for weeks on end and I had a response rate of maybe 10% tops, but I never really heard from the company more than once or twice.

It always seemed like either they found someone who was "better qualified" or who had responded to the job posting just a little sooner than I did... and they got the job because of it.

How To Become Video Game Tester - I Finally Figured It Out!

After a few months of plastering the video game industry with my resume I was at my wit's end. I was scouring Google for video game jobs again when I came across something called Gamer Testing Ground. These guys claimed they would give me access to the latest job postings for video game testers. I figured, why not? I had tried everything else.

I was blown away.

The site had hundreds of game testing jobs that I could do from home for as little or as much time as I wanted. Almost immediately I was talking to human resources at three different companies and now I have more game testing opportunities than you could shake a stick at.

I'm never going to be stuck working a "normal" job again -- and the fringe benefits of my new career are awesome:

- Get PAID to Play NEW Video Games
- Get FREE Copies of Video Games
- Get vital Real-World experience working with various departments such as development, marketing, manufacturing, and get "your foot in the door" to this industry.

It was so easy to become video game tester once I figured out where to look. Now I'm the guy who's making the first response to a video game tester posting... two weeks before it gets posted on Monster...

Whether you want to freelance from home in your spare time or build a career testing video games, I highly recommend you skip the hundreds of hours I spent on fruitless searches. The jobs are out there--you just need to go to the right place to find them.

I am tired of wasting time searching endlessly. I want to get paid to play games!
