Becoming a Giant Squid

I am on a mission to become a Giant Squid and so I am going to find out as much as I can about becoming one. Having no desire to reinvent the wheel I will store all the information I glean here so that I can find it when I need to remind myself of things I need to do to achieve my goal and have a modest income upon retirement.

Step One

Join Twitter and Follow Squid

I created a Twitter account and I am following the Squid Crew as they twitter and send little text messages out to everyone.

I have vowed not to send one message about going out for takeaway or to the movies or anything else personal. My Twitter account is strictly to tell people when I have updated my site or added to one of the hundred lenses I plan to have by the end of 2008

Book Mark Web Monkey Cheatsheet

so I have some handy html on the ready to use in ways Squid experts suggest

The Web Monkey Cheat Sheet is a cool way to have html at the ready. With the cheat sheet nearby I can easily add the code so that I can make my modules look more interesting. Note that I added some code here so that I could add an extra image to keep my readers interested. I wonder how many people are actually interested in me becoming a Giant Squid. I knew I wanted to do something really interesting when I grew up.

Master this Tagging Thing

Tagging Tricks
Adding tags to your lens is a great way to get found by more people. Through Google, through Squidoo Search, and through lensmasters clicking on their own tags links.

Basically, tagging is very very good.

But only if you know what you're doing.

Well what do you think? Will I become a Giant Squid?

I can't believe I'm saying that to someone I respect and actually meaning it in a positive way!
