Vermont is an ideal place for a bed and breakfast. Each year people flock to Vermont to see its winter wonderland and ski its slopes. Visitors come to Vermont to learn about the process of making maple syrup, bird watching and marvel at the snow. In the late spring, people come to Vermont to see flowers begin to bloom, for Spring Break or to visit relatives.

In Summer, visitors to Vermont enjoy hiking the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail and the many other hiking trails in Vermont and close by New Hampshire's White Mountains.

Each year, Royalton Bed and Breakfast is fully booked for the fall foliage season. Be sure to make your reservations early.

In the early spring Vermonters tap trees and boil the sap down to make maple syrup. Huge sugar maples stand tall behind our house. When you visit Royalton Bed and Breakfast in early spring you can learn about the sugaring process. Vermont makes the best Maple Syrup. As temperatures rise the icicles melt and springtime flowers open up throughout the yard and along the path to the waterfall.

History Draws Guests to our Bed and Breakfast

I began writing about the history of our house and the people who cleared the land and built the house. No matter where you turn, there are pieces of their handiwork to be discovered. Just spend some time in the woods walking along the stonewalls. Run your hands across the hand hewn beams of the barn. Go up to the attic and look out the dormer window. History is everywhere and the ancestors who built this place are still here welcoming the guests that come to stay at my bed and breakfast.

    I've not been able to stay in many, but they are wonderful places. It must just be me, but this one reminds me of Newhart. Today I am on a special lens hunt. Not telling the parameters, but this one was perfect! :o)

    Which of these has proved viable? I've tried lots of different things but so far no one thing has proved to be worth paying for. My second best tip, actually, is to join forces with the opposition. I get most of my guests from other B&B's. When I'm full I send guests to them. Truly blessed.

About the Author and Bed and Breakfast Owner

My home was built at a time when large extended families were the norm. We converted one of the nine bedrooms into an additional bathroom and leaving plenty of room for my family with three rooms left over for guests. Come share our home, admire the view and use this centrally located spot as your home base as you explore Vermont.
