The land our house sits on was originally cleared by Garner Rix after he returned from being captured in the Royalton Raid. He was just 13 years old when the town gave him this land. We can walk out to the cellar hole where his house stood or hike up to the mill that Garner Rix built. Our Bed and Breakfast was built from wood that came from our land and cut into timbers and boards in Garner Rix's saw mill. Hike through the woods to the bridge that Garner Rix built over the brook to see the water fall and along the stone walls that formed the boundaries of his sheep farm.

  • SereneSea Jan 2, 2011 @ 10:09 pm | delete
Looks like a great place for relaxation and I loved the idea of "Bed and breakfast".
  • hotbrain Jan 2, 2011 @ 8:45 pm | delete
I wouldn't use Four Seasons, because it is a name of a hotel chain, and might make it hard to find you on the search engines. Use something unique.
  • vallain Dec 19, 2010 @ 9:51 pm | delete
    I like the Four Seasons B & B, but also Wayside or Garner Rix B & B.
  • CCGAL Dec 8, 2010 @ 12:27 pm | delete
Oh, I want to come and stay at your Bed and Breakfast!!! Hubby and I have wanted to see Vermont for years, but we haven't made it back there yet. I'll have to give the name some thought before I can comment on that - but I can say that your long front porch looks so inviting - I could sit and rock and knit there for hours, I believe. Delightful!
  • tssfacts Dec 7, 2010 @ 2:47 pm | delete
Always wanted to visit Vermont but not in the winter lol. I think Four Season Bed and Breakfast is nice. After all that does describe when people can come -anytime-.

I'd love to visit Vermont next spring.
  • GrowWear Oct 7, 2010 @ 3:21 pm | delete
Well, I put in "Wayside," but it's "The Wayside," after the home Nathanial Hawthorne and other famous folk lived in. Looks kind of like it, comparing your intro image to the one on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wayside
  • TheWhistler Oct 6, 2010 @ 2:45 pm | delete
I would also suggest "The Dew Drop Inn."
