    Sounds delicious -- and easy. Easy is important to me as I'm not much of a cook! :) Beef Barley Soup would be great for lunch today as it is cold and windy here! :)

    This is a great recipe. I love both beef and barley, so the combination is perfect. This soup is easy to make and looks delicious!

    I have my own recipe for beef barley & mushroom soup that we like quite well. I use bay leaf, thyme and parsley for the herbs in it, but I find the combo of dill & thyme in your recipe very interesting. Dill isn't something I use with beef very often. This is one a will have to try since you say they do work together very well. If you love it I am sure I will love it too. Thanks so much Wendy!

    Great job with all the pictures and step by step instructions....I love beef barley soup. I pretty much have soup for lunch every day from fall until spring so I enjoy new recipes. Today, I'm making a big bowl of chicken corn chowder. Thanks for sharing!

    No this is some soup allright. Barley is beautiful - strange, because it's such a bland grain but, combined with beef in a soup, absolutely fabulous

    My stomach made a loud growl while I was reading your lens. Thanks to you and your beef barley soup I cannot seem to focus on anything else. Sad thing is, it's already dinner and the quickest, easiest meal I can make is (ta-dahh!) this sad looking sandwich I'm holding. Can I have some beef barley soup?

    Sounds yummy. We have a barley soup recipe that used to be a favorite. However, it is jam-packed with mushrooms and I have a son that will not, cannot eat them! I'll try this soup on him, I know he'll love it.
