Let's Grill Beer Brats

Nothing is better than a good beer brat on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Grab some brats and beer and let's get to grilling!

You can learn here how to make the best tasting beer brats with these easy, simple to follow directions.

Step One - Preparing Brats

Place brats and two bottles of your favorite beer in a skillet. Turn burner on medium and allow brats to heat through for about 20 to 30 minutes. Be careful not to let them boil rapidly or they may burst. Remove from skillet.

While you are waiting, thinly slice onions and green peppers and place them with a dash of olive oil or cooking spraying in aluminum foil. Make sure the foil is sealed all the way around. Place them on the grill about 15 minutes sooner than the brats, they will take longer to steam.

On to the Beer Brats!

Step Two - Grilling Brats

You should already have your onions and green peppers on the grill at this point. Now you will add the beer brats, grilling them over low heat. (gas grill) Turn them occassionally using tongs so that they will be grilled evenly on all sides. Do not turn them with a fork, this will punch holes in the brats and let all the juicy flavoring roll out. Remove the brats from the grill when they are completely browned. This should take about 20 to 30 minutes. The green peppers and onions should be steamed by now too.
