Beer Pong Hero

My friends and I are Beer Pong players. We have been for a long time. In the summer of 2010 we started playing in local tournaments in random bars. We decided that to enhance our Beer Pong experience we needed some sweet Beer Pong shirts. There was only one problem...we couldn't find any. There were plenty of awful ones that said things like "Beer Pong Champion" with some misshapen cups and balls. But clever shirts that looked good and didn't make me embarrassed to put them on? That was a no go.

So we started looking into what it would take to make our own shirts. Lucky for us we stumbled upon Zazzle. Zazzle is a print on demand company. In the past to order up a few shirts of your own design would cost a pretty penny. You'd usually need to order a few dozen to get a decent rate. Zazzle has changed all that with their new digital printing process. You can now get a fair price on a shirt when you order as little as one.

We made some designs and before we knew it we had a nice collection of shirts. The reaction we got at the bars was overwhelmingly positive and we started making regular sales through Zazzle. That's the other thing I hadn't mentioned. Not only is Zazzle a print on demand store, but they also give you the opportunity to put your designs on products for other people to buy.

One thing led to another and the store grew and grew. Buttons were added, key chains, stickers, we started making Beer Pong everything. From there the store started to evolve into a one stop Beer Pong emporium. We make our designs with love of the game in mind. These are Beer Pong shirts and accessories made from real players of the game.

Want to see what some of our first goes at designing a t-shirt came out like? Well we're not showing them. They were debacles that children with boxes of Crayolas would laugh at. It took us awhile to get the hang of it, but out of great failure arose some decent success. Here are the first batch that we thought looked good enough to see the light of day. What do you think?

On today, May 27th of 2011, the new Beer Pong Hero Logo is finally done. A play on the classic Conan and Star Wars movie poster. It has a fantasy Frank Frazetta feel with a more anime/manga based hero. A fun play on different genres. That's what Beer Pong is all about, having a good time.

With the update we also did a complete store makeover. New layout and designs. We also updated our Twitter Account and Facebook Fan Page to show the new look.
