Beer Pong is a drinking game that goes by many names such as Beirut and Lob Pong. No matter what it is called or where it is played, the game is pretty similar wherever you go. Much as the game suggests with the word pong in it, it does involve a ping pong like action where a ball bounces back and forth on a table. Unlike ping pong there are no paddles and this game get funnier the more you play it and the more inebriated you and your fellow players get.

Beer Pong has many different versions created by whoever is playing the game so the directions are not always going to be the same. There are a set of basic rules that anyone can alter in order to fit their party. First of all you need plastic cups, much like the one you can buy at the grocery store for parties. You can choose to set them up in multiples of six, ten, or fifteen which you arrange in a triangle on one side of the table and the other, directly facing each other. Make sure to fill them up about halfway with beer. Next you need players; this too can vary on the amount of people you have who want to play. You can play on teams of one, three, five, or whatever is appropriate for your party.

Next comes the playing of the game. One team stands on one end of the table and the opposing team stands on the other. The game is played by bouncing the ball on the table and trying to get it into the opposing team's cup. If you succeed and the ball lands in their cup, the opposing team has to drink that cup of beer. The opposing team then serves the ball onto your side of the table. The goal of the game is to make the opposing team drink all of their cups; once all of their cups are eliminated your team wins the game. Once the winner is declared, the losing team has to consume all remaining cups the winning team left on the table.

The great thing about Beer Pong is that it can be customized to the amount of people you have at your party. There are no guidelines for who can play, as long as it is legal for you to drink.
