How To Measure Beer Calories
Measuring beer calories is a tricky business because of the many different types of beers and their varying alcohol content.
We measured the calories and alcohol content of 102 beers from the nation's favorite brewers like: Anchor, Anheuser Busch, Adolph Coors, Pabst, G.Heileman, High Falls Brewing, Miller, Leinenkugel, Stroh, Red Hook, Latrobe, Boston Beer, Sierra Nevada, D.G.Yeungilng,
In order to level the playing field we need to set a standard measure. I have chosen the normal 12 fluid ounce glass.
The calorie winner is Anchor Porter with 207 calories per 12 fluid ounces. This is not surprising as it has 5.6% acloholic content.
The dieters' friend is Pabst Extra Light Low Alcohol with just 67 calories per 12 fluid ounces. However, as always seems to be the case with man's efforts to beat nature, the 2.7% alcohol content does mean you have to pay the price of a reduction in flavor.
But measuring beer calories is only a small part of the battle to lose weight. You've got to look out for the "side dishes" like chips and peanuts that are loaded with calories.
Then you've got to figure out how you're going to burn off the calories you put on at the bar.
Once you start trying to lose weight you're on a treadmill. You'll face constant temptation. A day will not pass when you don't think "I fancy a beer" at some time in the 24 hours.
I lost 20 pounds earlier this year and I had to learn a lot about self control to achieve that. The secret is self understanding.
I've made 12, ten-minute videos in the Magic Hats series which are yours free if you would like to know more about how to combat temptation. To get yours just click this link: beer calories.

To succeed in burning off the beer you need motivation. Take a look in the mirror, do you really like what you see?
Where did it all come from? You didn't look like that when you were a child, before you discovered the delights of beer.
Hey, it's not the beer's fault. You don't have to drink it. Well, perhaps it is guilty of tasting good and making you feel warm inside.
Me, I favor burning off the beer before I drink it. That way I can relax and enjoy my beer time.
I can't put up with boredom so gyms are out for me. But I do enjoy walking and sports. So I walk my dogs twice a day, play tennis at least once a week and try to fit in a game of golf.
And then I invented some exercises I can do sitting at my desk. I'll tell you more about them when you have completed the Magic Hats program and learned a whole lot more about yourself.
I can help you burn off the beer, but only if you link up to the free Magic Hats program and get started.

Coaching Rebel ~ I like your beer lens. I actually just did some research on this very topic and published a lens. It turns out that Milwaukee's Best Light has the highest alcohol content to calorie ratio of all Domestic Lagers. You can check out my lens at Best Diet Beers
