Beeswax-based Beauty Products

Beauty products made from natural beeswax can be incredibly good for the skin. They moisturize and rejuvinate, and they can be made from few ingredients. On top of that, you can choose to use all organic ingredients.

Below, you can find recipes for several products, such as all-natural lip balm, skin cream, and face cream. After each recipe, you will find links to places you can buy the ingredients and containers needed for each product.

Make some for yourself, or make larger quantities and sell it to friends and family.

Good luck, and have fun!

Beeswax Lip Balm

This recipe makes a natural lip balm that is every bit as good as anything you find in the store today, if not better.

This beeswax lip balm uses wheat germ oil, which is a source of vitamin E, A, and D, and also Omega-3 fatty acids. It is very good for your lips, keeping them smooth and supple.

The Recipe:

4 oz Sweet Almond Oil

2 oz Natural Beeswax

2 drops Essential Oil (Peppermint, Camphor, or Eucalyptus)

5 drops Wheat Germ Oil

The Instructions:

Heat Sweet Almond Oil over low heat, mix in Beeswax.

Mix in Essential Oils and Wheat Germ Oil

Pour into tins or tubes

Did You Know?

Beeswax has been used for centuries for many purposes, such as candles and creams. It has been found in usable form in the pharoah's tombs.

Beeswax and Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

The Beeswax and Cocoa Butter Body Lotion I created is incredibly rich, very moisturizing, and will make your skin touchably soft. Use it every day to replenish your most important organ.

The Recipe:

2 tablespoons beeswax

2 teaspoons distilled water

4 oz. cocoa butter

4 tablespoons sweet almond oil

2 tablespoons coconut oil

The Instructions:

Heat water on low heat, and add the beeswax slowly until it's completely melted

Mix in the cocoa butter in small amounts, stirring as it melts.

Pour in the sweet almond oil and coconut oil, stirring while pouring to ensure even distribution.

Pour your mixture into small jars.

The lotion will thicken as it cools.

Your lotion will not require refrigeration, and will last for months at a time.

Product Review

This is an absolutely sinful body balm. The cocoa butter balm is probably one of the best things you can do for your skin.

Once you've made this, the first thing you'll notice is the smell. It smells absolutely divine, like chocolate with a hint of honey. Once you start rubbing it into your skin, either on your hands, or any dry skin you might have, you'll find the dryness fading away, without the greasiness of many other lotions and balms.

In tests with friends and family, I found that the most common complaint was that they ended up using too much the first time. This body balm is so rich that only a very small amount, smaller than the size of a dime, is needed to moisturize your hands. After understanding exactly how rich this body balm is, however, the second application works out much better for them.

Antiseptic Balm

The Recipe:

2 ounces Beeswax

3 ounces Sweet Almond Oil

1 ounce Jojoba Oil

20 drops Wheatgerm Oil

20 drops Myrrh Essential Oil

20 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

The Instructions:

To make a good balm, you want it fairly thick. On average, you want two parts oil to one part beeswax to make a good consistency. This recipe will make a balm that is similar in consistency to Vaseline. If you're looking for a balm that is thinner, like a cream, use less beeswax. If you want something more like a wax, use more beeswax.

Making this antiseptic balm is quite easy. Start by heating the oils on a low heat in a saucepan, and add the beeswax to the mix. Allow it to cool, and check your consistency. If you want it thicker, reheat and add more beeswax, a little at a time. Thinner, and you can add more of the Sweet Almond Oil.

As the mixture starts to cool a bit, it's ready to pour into your 1 ounce tins or jars. This recipe will fill 8 tins of this size.

Aphrodesiac Essential Oils

Add these to body lotions and massage oils for a sensual scent that will draw your partner to you immediately.
