The easiest way to begin affiliate marketing is by having someone do the hard work for you. I have found the easiest, least expensive way to do it. And I am encouraging all beginning affiliate marketers to start here.

One way to begin getting traffic to a website is through Traffic Exchanges
and Safelists. To start off, let me say that the target market that works
for Traffic Exchanges is either someone who wants to increase their traffic,
make money online, and/or affiliate programs (e-books like Clickbank offers).

I do know people who have sold other things on traffic exchanges, but it takes
a lot of traffic and some excellent marketing skills.

The next thing you are asking yourself may be, "Do Traffic Exchanges really
work?" Well, when done the right way they really do work and can bring traffic
to your site right away.

I suggest using Viral list Builders, Credit-Based Safelists, a Text Ad Site I like,
and manual traffic exchanges. Let's go over each of these, how to use them
and where to get them.

First of all, when you sign up for these traffic programs, they will ask for a
contact email and a safelist or mailing email. You can receive a 100 emails a
day from just one of these viral or credit-based safelists. That's ok, and that is
why you have seperate email accounts set up for these.

You don't get to send as much email to a Viral List Builder, but the focus tends to
be better. Fewer emails are getting to the reader's inbox and conversion can be
better here.

The advantage to a viral list builder is that when you get others to sign up under
you, they become part of your downline and you can email to them too. They add
people, you can mail to them - and you can see the viral effect.

Credit-based safelists allow you to click on members' emails you receive and you
gain credits for the links you click on in the emails and view other members'
websites. In turn, you get to email others based on the number of credits you have.

You read text ads in the website itself and click on them, opening websites and
getting credits to show your ad.

When you say traffic exchange, the manual traffic exchange is what people first
think of. You view a site for 10 or more seconds and get credited for your site
to be viewed after 2 or 3 completed views.

Now the question bears, "Isn't that a lot of clicking and work?" The answer is yes!
You have two options. One is to spend time clicking, mailing, and gaining traffic
by spending hours of your time. And the other option is to decide that time is
money and to take advantage of the purchase and upgrade features they offer.

Think about it. You can spend a day clicking away. Or you can spend a little
money and get much more traffic than several days of clicking.

Ok. I am going to tell you some of my favorite places to advertise, but before
you get all excited and start signing up like crazy, organize yourself first.
Set up your email accounts for your contact list and your safelist. Again, see
my blog here to see how to organize your accounts for all of that mail. It's a
lifesaver!

Get out a spreadsheet or at least Notepad and stay organized as you sign
up for each program. Write down the name of the program, your username and
password, how many members you can email, how often, costs of upgrading
and how much traffic it brings.

Once you have your information about costs of upgrading and amounts of traffic,
emails you can send, then make your decision about spending money. All of
these programs have once-in-a-lifetime offers they give you immediately upon
signup. If you have a lot of money and can afford to, sign up for them. But if you
are like me when I started, get your information and build up slowly.

I didn't know which ads would be successful at first. That was another reason
why I wanted to begin slowly. I wanted to test different ads in different places
and see which ones worked the best. Would they work in one place and not
another?

Testing is imperative. You have to write down your headlines, ads, where and
WHEN you sent them, and how many people you sent them to. You'll also want
to use a tracking ID to track hits and see which ads/which traffic is converting
into sales. Then it is time to ramp up the money where it is working. There's a
great way to track that and it is called Viral Url.

Most writers will give you a million places to sign up and it gets overwhelming.

day, go for it. Chances are, you don't have time and you would be bored out

Ok, you have set up your email accounts, listed the programs you have joined,
usernames and passwords, maybe you have some ads, but study your
competition! Promise me two things. You don't go on these sites soley to click

You want to pay attention to the advertisements that come your way. Now I'm not
talking about spending hours on each one. Scan the headlines. Which ones
stand out?

I see so many ads that talk about themselves or this program or that.

in it for me?"

Which headlines make you want to know more? Grab your attention? Are
formatted in a way to get your eye to glance over to that ad?

Offer your customers a solution to what they want and need in a way that will
grab their attention, combined with these traffic exchanges and systems
above and you will have great, converting traffic.
